I think you will find that flower is where the work is at. Plants uptake much more nuts and water than before, and seem to bee far more sensitive to stress, nute burn, overwatering, ph, environment etc… it is for me anyway.
Hey guys,
Running into some signs of issues, ANYONE please help me assess?
At first we established Calcium issues may be the result of some earlier curling now I am getting some pale markings at the tips of those curling leaves.
Due to the information below I am assuming potassium or magnesium issues? It doesnt seem to be nitrogen I dont think?
@Watt-Sun, you were able to identify last time, any idea? Is this just the calcium deficiency furthering?
Could this maybe be the beginning of heat stress, maybe i have my lights too close…
Curling leaves and now brown spots showing on the edge… but its still sounds like Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium… so hard to diagnose!
What ppm are you feeding at? What brand of nutes? Your Plants are right about the same Age as mine I’m feeding twice a day to run off, at about 450 ppm. With a calcium issue you want to watch for signs on the newest growth. If it is continuing there you still have a deficiency. Calcium is a non mobile nutrient your plant can’t borrow Calcium reserves from older growth to feed the new And that’s why it affects new growth first .
@Watt-Sun, I am running around 450ppm for run off (ph at like 6.5 or something way too high but I am feeding it like 6.2-6.3, which i will lower to 5.8 to see if it helps.
I am using THC Australia, its not a largely marketed brand and for all I know the stuff is probably sub par as far as nutes go (will be going Canna next).
My new growth seems safe but this morning I notice this too…! ON a newer leave (the damage at the tip may have been my mishandling). But that pale scratch on it too…
That picture there looks almost like mechanical damage rather than a deficiency
The actual rip itself is, it is that small pale line that appeared over night not when touching it, may be the healing process of a wound I inflicted I couldn’t initially see?
Yeah the calcium def will be more like spots than lines. I think your good👍
@Watt-Sun this is the one that is more concerning, not the tear the discoloration to the right side of the leaf, hopefully should be good give it another week i guess.
Yeah that thought crossed my mind too, I feel it may be a bit early to be able to diagnose, I will be transplanting in the next week once it recovers I will have a good look at it and watch for any progression.
Thanks for the help as always man! @Watt-Sun
They are tougher than you think. She will give you plenty of time to react before it’s fatal . No plant makes it to the end with out bumps and bruises. Hell my last grow I cracked my main stem right down the middle Tucking it , I threw some honey and tape on it and it was my best producer
Yeah I keep thinking they are this absolutely delicate little flower, I need to remember the hardiness of this plant and give it some time lol… Patience, could say that a million times over…
