The Grow journal begins October 2025

It has been a while since i have been able to stop by. A needed order and a lot more time on my hands (retired) i am able to write a journal. I am very excited about seeing everyones growing experiences, they only make mine better. Thanks to all of ya!

My need for smoke averages 2 oz a week for our household. It is legal where i live yet very expensive. 225 an oz to get good enough wwed to do me. So, i grow.

Here is where i stand as of now.

ILGM seeds coming next week for my next grow. I start a group every four weeks or so to keep smoke around.

I start these for a late year harvest, as i grow outside in cloths pots.

As of now i have three Cindy 99’s in which are now two weeks in flower. They popped the ground on August 12th and went into flower on the 23rd of September.

They seem small from being stunted. I keep them outside. First week in flower fhe deer came anx ate the tops off and most the leaves, they slowed down, but seem to be pulling out of it.

I am nust hopping for 3 oz a piece on them.

Here is what they look like.

This group of three are my next batch. They are Genius juice / Cindy 99’s .

These are six weeks veg, i flipped the light to 12/12 for flowering yesterday. Here is what these girls look like.

This group is 5 weeks behind the flowering, they are 7 daya old. Genius juice / Cindy 99’s

With these girls sitting outside i feel that old man winter is gonna catch me with my pants down. It was 48° here last night and gonna be 46° tonight.

I am in need of lights, i am thinking if i buy lights and put them in a tent the lights should keep the temps in oplerating range for flowering through the winter.

I will have to put the tent in an uncontdolled space in the shed out back..

Do ya think the lights will generate snough energy to keep the girls warm while flowering?

@kw_Bat I did 4 photos and 4 autos this year. Here is a picture of the two partially harvested photos left out on the deck a couple days ago. Was trying to keep the rain off them. They are Gorilla Ice Creams. They one on the left is the mother…she turned 1-year old yesterday. The one on the right is one of her clones…took 6 months ago.

The 4 x 4 tent has 1 Bruce Banner auto, an auto chees strain from a local guy, a Bubba Kush photo and a Sweet Tartz photo. They all sprouted 20 days ago.

Are you compensate with extra light outside? Is that what i see in the photo?

Gosh, you look good over your way. Nicely done.

No…those are just some wood boards I had around to keep the plastic off the plants when the plastic got heavy with water.

This is my first time with Bruce Banner. She started off as the runt but is catching up fast.

Outside I use a few products to control pests.

I use Captain Jacks Deadbug during veg up to mid flower. It is a bacteria based product. Works really well.

During caterpillar season I add some product that contains BT…another bacterium, since Captain Jacks is not effective on them.

Once flower starts, I put a soap based product into the rotation to keep pests away and has the added bonus of being a fungiside to keep mildew and bud rot at bay. I use PureCrop1

Once the buds start to thicken up, I drop the Captain Jacks and add Dr. Zymes into the rotation. It is an organically derived citrus acid-based product that is good with soft body insects and is good for mold/mildew and but rot prevention…can be used right up to the day of harvest.
