How big of a space are you vegging in?

2x3ft or enough for 2-3 plants in veg and one mother plant. Im new at this and appreciate all the advice!

There’s suppose to be a new light from hlg released in next couple of weeks that would probably be ideal for that size space, I think it was around $150. Otherwise their current options aren’t horrible. One larger than you need for around $200, one probably a smidge small for $100. Otherwise something like a viparspectra or meizhi 300-450 probably fit the bill as well.

Currently I’m running Meizhi 300’s for veg and have 3 for my 2 x 3 tent. They work very well but are not as efficient as the HLG lights. If you wish to keep your electric bill down I would look at spending a little more money upfront for lights.

I personally believe the viparspectra leds are the best since they have little red and mostly a blue spectrum. They are also very afforfable.

I use Vero29 COBs at 5000 K for vegging. The growth is incredible. If you are not going to flower under these lights, you can get 5000 K from several manufacturers for the same price. If you think you might want to flower under them in the future, then I would go lower color temperature.

Thanks for the info. The light will be strictly for veg.
