Temperature and humidity for when my lights turn off?

What temperature and humidity is ideal for sprouted seedlings when my led lights go off? With the lights on I’m at 77° and 71% humidity. Thank you for any advice.

If you Google cannabis plants vpd it has a formula and a handy graph for good rh at certain temps

Depends on your light off temps. Here is the vpd chart

Thanks@Bobbydigital

First two weeks I’m on 24/0 light schedule which solves all heat problems.

Thank you@Myfriendis410. Should I keep the humidity at 70% constantly and after the 2 week’s of 24 when I go 18/6, should the temperature and humidity be less when the lights are off and what should they be? I had no sleep the last 2 days because they were looking over watered even after the soil was getting dry. I had bought 2 bluetooth hydrometers from Govee (junk) for inside my tent and 1 from I Power for outside with no bluetooth and wouldn’t you know that both inside the tent were over 10 off, both temp and humidity so I was actually at 82% RH and 88°. I calibrated both to the max they would go and they were still 2 off, what are the chances.:person_shrugging:

Sprouts, until they develop a taproot, pull all of their moisture out of the air. 100% RH won’t hurt em a bit. I normally start in a Red Solo Cup and put a clear one over the top as a dome. Mist the inside of the dome twice a day with distilled water (no need to PH) for the first two weeks. Once plant looks like a plant I remove the dome and start top watering sparingly. Like a tablespoon once or twice a day, depending. Eventually plant will be ready to pot up (when you start to see roots out the bottom). After transplant, again water lightly until canopy of the plant is same diameter as the pot: then you can water to runoff.

Ideal temp range is around 78F and if it sees that it’s whole life it won’t mind. My grow space sees 81 F at peak and maintains for 16 hours under lights then drops to around 68 F at night.

This is what I have currently, I’m pretty sure they’re over watered. What do you think @Myfriendis410? What do you think is best for indoor, 16/8 or 18/6? Thank you so much for the help.

Sorry, didn’t mean to send it twice. Also, should I continue using the heat mat?

This is entirely dependent on your lights. If you’re running high PAR value lights like a Quantum Board setup, you can run down to 14 hours of veg if you hit the Daily Light Integral (DLI) for the plants. If your lights aren’t as strong as that you may need to run a longer day. You need less intensity of light in veg with a longer duration to get to your DLI. Conversely, you need higher intensity partly because you’re on a 12/12 day.

Now I hope I haven’t confused you but the point is; you need to decide the amount of time plants are lit based on the setup you have.

If sprouts are reaching, lower your light. That should help. You can bury the plants a little deep when you transplant and they’ll never know it.

I have a 4 4 7 tent with a blurple 3000w-200 actual watts that I ordered as a package. I bought 4 Carambola 1000-120w each, total of 680w actual draw and attached them around the 3000 in the middle. I’m only using 1 1000 with it on the veg setting 20in above the top of the sprouts per manufactures directions for veg. Do you think this is will be okay? I started with a dome and a 30w led regular frosted strip light. If you think the 1000 is to bright, should I go back to the strip light or I have a 13w cfl and should I go back to the dome? Sorry for asking so many questions, just want to get it right and gather as much knowledge as I can. Thank you @Myfriendis410

I ran all of my seedlings under a 150 plug watt blurple for years until getting a QB135. As long as they don’t dry out or get too hot you should be fine. Warm and moist.

Thank you @Myfriendis410

Is this light burn and what is making the cotiledons curl under? I’m using 1 Carambola 1000-120w at the plug with veg and flower setting, they were at 16"and I raised it to 20", the manufacturer recommended 16". Also I read that other people don’t use the veg setting at all, they say that the flower setting makes them grow faster. Thank you for any help you can provide. Thank you.

Plants are fine, that’s exactly what you want to see. In another week the cotyledons will be gone and really you could transplant at any time.

Awesome! So I shouldn’t worry about the yellowish tips on the top left 2 and the leaf deformaty on the bottom left 1? Thank you@Myfriendis410

It will sort itself out. Likely getting hungry.

Ok, thanks Myfriendis410. Do you have an opinion on the veg and flower settings for LEDs?
