Friday Feb 21, 2025. Three tall and spindly seedlings. First pairs of true leaves showing on each. Two have a big root outside the rapid rooter plug. Now the plugs go into solo cups of coco perlite mix. I’m burying part of the stems. I’m turning the light brighter.
Monday, Feb. 24, 2024. Number 4 is above ground 11 days after being soaked in water. Five days after her three sisters came up. 100% germination! I only plan to run two plants.
Friday Mar 7, 2025. Day 16 above ground. Up- potted two Tangie seedlings from solo cups to more 70/30 coco/perlite in one gallon plastic pots. Two spares remain in solo cups for now.
Friday Mar 21, 2025. Day 30. Transplanted the two primary plants to the final 5 gallon plastic pots. Transplanted the two spare plants to 1 gallon pots. Set up the watering halos.
Thursday, Mar 27, 2025. Day 36. Left hand plant 11” tall. Right hand plant 13” tall and touching first net. No training to date except topping on Day 24. Input PH/EC/PPM 6.2/1310/655. Tap water starting EC/PPM a bit high at 276/138. Jacks 321 recipe about 60% of full strength. A little silica. Runoff EC/PPM 1216/608. Looks like I can increase input EC. I plan to use the Jack’s 10-30-20 blossom booster for a week after I flip.
Monday April 7. Day 47. 8 days since flip. Not much stretch yet but I supercropped one extra tall branch. Leaf color good. I’m using 1/2 tap, 1/2 rainwater, Jacks 10-30-20 Blossom Booster (it’s blue!), Epsom, silica, and PH Down. Input about a gallon a day spread across three fertigation events. Input PH/EC/PPM 5.9/1496/748. Runoff about 1.8 pints/day. Runoff EC/PPM left is 1820/910 and right 1776/888. Boring…Hooray!
Sunday Apr. 13. Day 53. 14 days since flip. Discontinued Bloom Booster. Using 1/2 rainwater and 1/2 tap, Jacks 321 and a little silica. PH/EC/PPM input 6.1/1496/748. Output EC/PPM a bit high at around 1900/950. Leaf color looks fine. Not much stretch but I put the 2nd net in place.
Saturday Apr. 26. Day 65. 27 days from flip. Last week I lollipopped up to bottom net and removed about a quart of fans. All looks good.
My GE-branded 70 liter dehumidifier stopped working. Fan runs but no water collects. Not much troubleshooting advice in the owners manual. I tried taking the case off and cleaning the coils. I moved an older 50 liter unit into my lung room for now. Anybody have troubleshooting tips for dehumidifiers?
Thursday May 1, 2025. Day 70. 32 days since flip. Plants look good with no issues. I’m using my rain barrel water. EC/PPM before nutes is 60/30. I’m using it even though it’s yellowish grey, I think from all the pollen that has washed off the roof.
Friday May 9, 2025. Day 78 and 40 days from flip. I’m adding just a bit of silica (0.5 ml/gal), calmag (1g/gallon), and about 3/4 strength Jack’s 321 to the rainwater. This formula lands about PH/EC/PPM 6.2/1250/625 with no adjustment. Colas are 1” - 1.5” thick. Some pistils are brown early. The right hand plant has purple margins on small upper leaves. Smells nice.
