Yes, makes perfect sense. So they are just empty currently and you want to use it to store water. Gotcha. Thanks
I think you only need to leave the water out for like 24 hrs for chlorine to evaporate. So I guess it’s entirely up to you

Lol. Yes I keep fish aswell hence me saying I haven’t had issues with mould before sorry wasn’t clear lol…
I’ll give it a go and see what happens. No harm in trying I guess. Learn from mistakes
Any clean container can be used to let chlorine gas off.
Nothing wrong with the aquarium. For me a 5 gal bucket with a handle works so I can move it where I need.
The wonky leaves on your plant could be from various things. I have seen them deform because of over feeding, getting water on the tender young leaves under the lights which cooks them and deforms them.
Usually it will come out of it just fine.
@Spiney_norman thanks for the info.
I’m gonna give the tank a go and see how it goes saves me walking up stairs with a litre at a time then lol
Welcome to the community, it looks like folks have you covered. As others have said, be careful not over water. When you do water, put the water in a circle away from the main stem. This will encourage root growth and prevent other potential issues.
Hi @merlin44 thank you.
I’m gonna leave them for 3/7 days and check on them then water from the edges as it seems to be very dry out the outsides
Hi all. Just a little update the girls are growing again but certainly seemed to be a watering issue
Can anybody give advice on my setup and improvement that can be made. Please remember I am new to this.
Advice and criticism welcomed
Thank you
Hello @Thcdom and welcome. Setup looks good so far. I would consider changing your pH meter. Those look like probe type combos and their reliability is questionable. Have a scout about on here for info on the best meter for you, a lot of us use Apera or Bluelab. I’m no expert on lighting so stick some info up about that light of yours. The guys that know about things like that will tell you what to expect from it. Other than that it’s good luck from me
@Davyg thank you. I keep them in there to check the soil moisture at the bottom of the pots. I also have an electronic ph pen and tds pen so all good there…
As for the light its a phlizon 2500 cree cob led pulls just over 620w from the wall i think. Any light advice would be great.
Thank you
Sounds like you’re on point with measurement kit. Can’t help with the light I’m afraid but there are plenty out there that can. I use QB260s from hlg and love them
I’ve heard good things about them so they may be on my upgrade list but hoping this will do for now lol
Evening all. Just a quick one when would you all recommend switching to flower? They will be 4 weeks on Friday.
Hey @Thcdom, sounds like you’re doing just fine! Well done buddy!
I’m not sure about when to flip the lights exactly but I know if it’s not an auto you can basically veg it for as long as you like, I think while continuing to train it, then when you’re ready for flowering you flip it to 12/12.
Hi @CalamityJane much appreciated.
I don’t want to leave it to long in veg then overfill the tent and have fluffy buds :/.
I had the idea of 7-8 weeks veg then 7-10 weeks flower no idea if I’m miles off with that lol
Imma bit outta my depth there mate as I’m growing auto. There’s a few watching this so I’m sure someone will help ya out soon. Or have a search through some of the topics on here, it’s bound to have been talked about in here.
Hopefully someone knows or can help
Iv done a brief search and can’t find much lol everyone seems to grow autos
When you flip is pretty much up to you. One thing you need to remember though is when you flip she will double in size so be mindful of the space you have. I always get this bit wrong and end up having to supercrop or top them or both
Take a note of when she starts to flower, you can use this as a guide for when you’re nearing harvest. Your seed vendor will have an estimated flowering period, combining that with your flower date will get you in the ball park
Thanks @Davyg yeah I’m gunna let them grow a bit more first then as vendor states 8-10weeks flower lol don’t want to wait that long for poor results
Many thanks
@CalamityJane @Davyg @merlin44 @Spiney_norman @stlleaf @SKORPION @Se7en @kellydans hi all sorry I haven’t been active had some serious family issues to deal with just checked in on the girls to see how things were and they are flowering nicely but iv noticed what look like pollen sacs on a few of the smaller stems? Does anyone have any idea why?
Thanks all
