Okay so my plants did look good. Small, but good lol. So I just bought the hlg 260 watt light and switched it out for my cheap amazon led. Now I came back this morning and all the leaves are drooping besides the top
do you guys think it’s stress from to much light? My previous led was 18 inches and I set this at 30 to adjust. Any ideas?
Looks like she needs some water.
You sure it doesn’t need water?
Am going from burples to 600w MH lights next week, everything I have researched in switching, no one had issues. I know that new bulb will dry out your soil a lot faster ![]()
More light typically means more heat which means faster moisture evaporation.
One last thing, are you monitoring your temps?
Yeah the high is 84 and low is 72 with a humidity around 45 %
Looks like You only need water. When you increase light it takes more water.
Yeah looks dry as many have mentioned, pick up the pot, is it light or heavy?
Also what is your driver at?
Driver was at 70 %. Water is good I just watered it again to make sure, however I noticed a lot of the stems that are down are purple. Do you guys think the new light possible sped up a magnesium or phosphorus deficiency?
@dbrn32 can help you out with lights
Yes it will and 70 is too high until late flower
I had to up my cal mag when I switched from blurpkes to hlg 550
So a few more detail
Old light:king led with 189 watt draw at 18 inches
New light: HLG 260 watt at 30 inches for break in period.
Hardly any drooping before changeout but after complete drooping besides the top leaves.
Temps don’t go above 84.
SOIL: soil is ocean forest, but I don’t water it as much now because it stays compacted and wet for around 4 days
Also thank you everybody for all the replies! I think moving forward I’m going to give it a few days and make sure my soil is back dried out and see if the plants adjust to the light. Will also try to possibly foiler spray some cal-mag supplement on. Lol I’ll give you guys a update in a few days and let you know what happens.
There is a very good video on utube called cannibis grow lighting by dr bugbee to help you understand lighting. I went from a 600watt to a sf-2000 with zero issues.
30" at 70% should be fine. I think it’s probably more of watering issue.
Sure looks like it, doesn’t it? Is the stem all mushy there?
