I had no idea that some solids aren’t measured, most of what I know is from that cocoforcannabis site. So many people have different ways of how they handle coco and I think that’s why I’m so intrigued of this medium. Is there ever a time bottom feeding it worth while? Then I’ll hear from time to time that some people do feed water feed water schedules, then others swear that plain water will destroy the mediums rhizosphere? (Hopefully didn’t butcher that lol)
I’m looking into a new nute solution mix with a npk more according to the ‘ideal’ ratio for late veg, I’m guessing that mixing fox farm grow big hydro and neptunes harvest tomato and veg is OK? Thinking of switching it to a mix of bloom city calmag (for its fulvic acid and extra micros) 6ml/g, grow big hydro 4 ml/g, Neptune at 2.5 ml/g (curious if fish fert is safe for coco, thinking mainly if it’s yucca and molasses included to get to my recharge bennies) and kangaroots at 2.5 ml/g. The P seemed really low in my current line up, and my damn ph up adds 0-0-35 and is having my K almost double what my N going on is. I know I probably am over thinking the NPK ratio deal but it’s just hard to find solid info on the internet lol read a article (wish I could remember the researchers name) stating late veg you want N double what your P is, and K about 65% of what your N is
If you are new to growing cannabis then I would most strongly suggest you stick with one nutrient line and a published schedule before playing with mix and match. Get a grow or two under your belt.
Had a few hiccups while covered in a blanket in 35° weather getting to her new home, switching to flower now! Tent is being brought from elextric outtage house tomorrow lol

I changed feeds yesterday to 4 ml/g calimagic, 5 ml/g grow big hydro, 5 ml/g tiger bloom, 1/4 tsp of open sesame will have 5 ml/g of kangaroots next week, ppm at 850, ph’d to 5.7 last night, 5.8 for tonight. Plan on open sesame till week 4 then coaching from week 6-9 til start of flush. Still dialing in tent in the new house but Temps are looking 75 day and 63 nights, rh is sitting at 60 without humidifier so that’s one plus! Will add pics here in a hour when they wake up, day 3 flower on big girl, day 15 on clone.
Alright so feed ph jumped to 5.95 before applying which I wasfine with, run of is 1050 ppm, so I’m gonna water 3x a day to counter this, 35% run off currently
Switching to a auto drip system tonight, plan on running 30(x) seconds (until morning 20% run off) 1 hour after lights on, then every 2 hours for 10 seconds, 10 seconds puts in about 8 oz to the medium
Thanks @Slym3r! Learned a lot from this grow, going into this one I was fairly confidant I read enough up on coco to handle the medium change and loving every second of it! I have a new fairly bigger grow going on this thread now if you wanna tag along! New Indoor, Sherbalato, Super Silver Haze and GG#4 auto Coco - #21 by Blade. Started off as SSH, 2 GG #4 autos and some Sherbalato but turned mainly into a Sherbalato grow lol
