Summer grow begins

Everything is basically on autopilot. It’s kind of going too well it seems. I added water to the reservoir for the flood table. It was down about 10 gallons. It holds 50 gallons.
I checked my nutes and they were down to 700 this time. Added some more nutes and overshot a bit. Trying for 1000ppm and hit 1200ppm. It’s ok they will drop it down pretty quick. These girls are hungry. I see no signs of over feeding or under feeding looking at the leaves.
I’m pumped on the Bluedream. There are some fat buds on that girl. The tricombs are like frost. I’m getting impatient.
I pulled out my jewelers magnifying glass and the dang batteries are dead.:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:.
March 1 can’t get here fast enough.

Little update on the girls. Everything is running smoothly. The temps, humidity, PH, are all within the sweet spot. The PPM is 800 and dropping now. The plan is not to flush but let it drop on its own. I might get lucky get close to zero by harvest time.
The Blue Dream has some dense fat daddy buds on it. The Godfather OG has some a few buds that are medium/large but mostly medium.
Helped a buddy/new grower get started. He flipped his lights about 2 weeks ago. Everything was going great. I told him to fertilize his plants for bigger blooms/buds and what to buy.
He calls me to come look at his plants because something is wrong.
5 out of 6 plants are done. 2 might be salvaged. Dude bought 10-10-10 granular fertilizer from Lowes because it was cheaper. Dumped a couple handfuls in each pot and the results were disappointing to say the least.
Suggested he change out the dirt and flush to possibly save something. We shall see.

Trimmed a bunch of fan leaves off today. Buds are getting fat, woohoo! Currently the PPM is between 700 and 800.
Tricombs are clear.
I accidentally cut off a small bud while trimming. Got it drying out so I can smoke it.

Trimmed more leaves today. Checked the nutes are at 700ppm now and dropping. I have been letting the water level drop and not refilling. This will make it easier to flush before I harvest.
Checked tricombs today. They are all milky on the Blue Dream plants. There are some amber tricombs on the bud leaves but not the buds.
The Godfather OG has crystal clear tricombs.
Looking good.

The buds are pretty solid now. Blue dream buds are big and tight. The Godfather OG buds are medium and not so tight.
Added water this morning to the flood table. I ran the pump for an extended period to thoroughly mix the contents of the flood table reservoir.
My Bluelabs tester measured 600PPM. That’s going in the direction I want. Projected harvest for the Blue Dream was 1 March but I’m not satisfied with the amber tricomb levels yet. I will wait another week or so before chopping them down.

Checked everything out today. PH, PPM, water level, temps, humidity, are all good to go. My plants don’t smell as potent now. I’m guessing I’m getting close to harvesting the Blue Dream. All the tricombs are milky but still not seeing hardly any amber. There are a few almost black looking tricombs.
I’m thinking wait another week or Two.

Inspected everything yesterday and all was good to go. Tricombs were starting to show amber on the Blue Dream buds, yay!
Decided I would harvest the BD and got my feelings hurt. I have some huge buds that have mold in them. I’m guessing about 1/4 of my plants big buds have mold.
I’ll make gummies, cookies and brownies with that part.
Everything has had a lite wet trim, peroxide wash and now hanging in the drying tent.
The Godfather OG is doing good. No signs of mold on any of the buds. The tricombs are still clear with a few cloudy ones. Not ready yet but I did clip a bud from both GF strains I have to smoke test. One strain is basically green and looks normal. The other strain is almost all purple/red/brown.

Congrats on the chop and hate to hear about the mold :partying_face::+1:

Chopped the red GF last week. Buds were down between 8 and 10% moisture content yesterday so in the grove bags it went. Had a little bit of mold in 4 big buds. The rest looked great. I’m rethinking lowering my humidity rate in my grow tent using the flood table.
The green GF tricombs were about 25% amber so it got chopped 3 days ago. Moisture content is about 18% in those buds. Going to be a few more days before going to the grove bags. No sign of mold on this strain.
Did a smoke test on all three strains over the past week. BD is nice cerebral and uplifting buzz. Comes on slow and builds up nicely and last a few hours.
Both of the GF hit really hard within minutes. Good buzz effecting both head and body. Almost couch lock but not quite.

Everything has been harvested, hung to dry, sugar leaves removed, and placed in Grove bags. All the hard work is done.
Soon it will be time to enjoy the benefits of my hard work.
