Currently there are 4 - 1000watt mh bulbs burning at 75percent. Will switch to hps and Max the ballists out when going to flower and will raise the lights to start off then slowly lower them so the plants can get used to the new intensity till I hit the sweet spot lighting area then move them back up as they grow towards it. Please tag me in your grow so I can follow it easier. I got nothing but good things to say for people who grow.

Ya , I thought you might have a couple more lights then stated… plants looked to good to just be under one 1000 watt light …lol

Been trying to research but coming up short.
Will the light coming from a quartz infrared heater impact the dark phase of my plants during flower? If so then I need to find a different heating option but the size of my room makes that part difficult.

yes during flower the glow from the heater will effect the plant, i have an inside grow. and have to use space heaters when in winter but i try and swap times so at night i run my flower time when its coldest outside and there dark period is during the sunny day or what’s left of them. i started with the older coil type and ended up with hermie’s every time and couldn’t figure what was going on until it broke and started using a newer one with no coils. in a shiny room any light will be bright when all other lights are out… hell i even put black tape over my surge protector lights…

Look in to passive heating, if you remember many yrs ago there was what best be called an oil filed heater, which later turn out to be dangerous, today they are much better sophisticated. And they are safe and work excellent, no glowing heating coils or fans which some have, you can look into them at your local home depot, it’s the best form of heating a room, somewhat like a radiator, the one I use has a timer so I can set it to turn on or off at any time of day or night.

Yes, it will definitely effect the plants flowering. You’re lucky you’re finding out the easy way. Like @garrigan62, I put electrical tape over any small indication light, which is on everything these days. Last grow it took me a week to figure out why my plants wouldn’t go into flower.

Just to be safe ,like everyone saying, I would tape anything with a light. I cover lights with enough duct tape so each light doesn’t show. I do it to the green lights too, just to be safe. Happy growing all

Thank you for the quick response, lucky I’m figuring this out now, I have one radiant heater aka oil filled in the currently with one infrared quartz as well. Now I gotta yank the quartz out and use a 2nd radiant heater. My dilemma that needs worked out is temp control but at least I got a few weeks to get it dialed in. Also I’ve taped every light with black gorilla tape long ago but during the real cold months where it got -40 degrees f. I had no option but to throw a quartz heater in there because it was strong enough to keep up with the room cooling… As I’m writing this I can already tell that there will be other questions popping up so let me explain a bit more of the picture.
I built a 12’x16’ 2"x4" framed and insulated on all sides plus ceiling over top of the floor drain inside my 2 car attached garage. Made for added security and more discreet. My airflow comes from a insulated pipe straight from my house so the air going into my grow room is roughly 65 degrees f.( It was easier to heat air that was already warm than it was to pull frigid air from outside.) Now the temps outside are coming up a bit mid 20s f. So I should be able to add another oil filled and be ok.

Cover the light on that heater with electrical tape or duct tape. Simple fix and you don’t have to rearrange your set up.

I don’t know much, but I did grow Strawberry Kush. I have grown only 11 different strains, yet I have never had such a positive reaction to spliting the trunk a few days before harvest. The buds were dripping, so it’s a thought. I was a sceptic back in the day; however, it does not effect the xylem & phloem cells. I love growing as many different strains, so I don’t let them get big. My little circle thing on the site is a picture of my first Strawberry out of the fruity mix pack, and the red came out amazingly in sections all throughout the bud. Good luck, yet you do not need luck. The people here are AWESOME, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and VERY AFFABLE!!!

For those following, today is day 76 veg and my girls for the most part recovered from nitro tox and pH I’m balance. I’ll show the good plants and the one that suffered the most. Here are the good ones and they are getting huge

I’m gonna stretch out the veg till at least March 1st maybe longer if I can keep the bushes managed. I got 3’x3’ scrog wire to put on top of each cages, they will still all be independently able to be wheeld around on their carts that they are currently sitting on. But as soon as the scrogs go in, it will get cramped in there. I’m pushing for huge plants and I got a feeling that they will be bigger than I imagined but I got a plan to keep them from reaching the lights. Is gonna take work.
