I personally switched to advanced nutrients pH perfect nutrient line because I wanted to eliminate the whole pH aspect from my grow and I’m glad I did but yes I pay to be lazy. Lol
I flushed her twice 5 gallons each time and ended up with a soil ph of 6.3. She looks mad. The end of the first flush I collected runnoff and had a ph of 4.5! I’ll check it again in the morning. All my other plants are running a little low as well. I’ll likely put them on a diet for a week or two. I thought Fox Farm nutrients flushed through and didn’t concentrate. Sure am glad you guys pointed me in the right direction! Thanks! @blackthumbbetty @Countryboyjvd1971
Give her /them time to dry out between checks
Youll be ok @Newman444 try to get run off up to 6.5 thats your sweet spot as @blackthumbbetty has already pointed out ![]()
But 6.3 is in range so woohoo
Fox farms nutrients do have a tendency to build up salt in the soil so I normally recommend following the mfg flush schedules as well
But let’s work on getting the ph in range first
Happy growing

With the AN line you dont have to test ph? Its probably what i dislike the most. What a pain!
time to flush
Fox Farm recommends flushing 1 a month…
Now I know! ![]()
Soooo glad this forum is here! Thanks CB!
Yes @Laurap they have a ph perfect line I haven’t checked pH in months I couldn’t even tell you where my pH meter is at the moment
My local grow store carries AN. Looks like I will be switching over…
Check their prices and check amazons prices some grow shops or hydro stores put quiet the mark up on them
@Countryboyjvd1971 @blackthumbbetty so all 4 needed flushing — last time I use 7 gallon pots for sure! I had trouble getting my PH back up and when all was said and done, I fell back on my farming background. A few pinches of hydrated lime mixed into the top soil did the trick. All are sitting at 6.7 and going nuts! This indoor gardening is a little trickier than I thought it would be. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
Good to hear @Newman444
I found indoors to be different as well and had to adapt when i first came indoors as well
Glad tou have it worked out
In most cases 5 gallon pots are pleanty indoor
I ise 5-7 myself on photos and 2-3 gallon pots on autos indoors
Outdoors i use 25 gallon pots or bigger normally
Ive never done autos outside i think ill drop a few auto beans and see what i can do lol
Happy growing

That isnt true you still have to check the ph incase its at 5.8 if your a soil grower like myself i have to raise my ph the AN ph perfect line COMES IN AT 5.8 So it great if ur a soiless or coco grower but if u grow in soil i have to raise the ph to 6.5 /6.4 i jump between the 2 as i read something that says your best to try not stick at the same ph so much so the plant has a better selection and different amounts of nutrients and supplements salts bio-rganisams etc is better for the plants growth in any stage. I have only just started using this line thou but seems to be fine.
