Update. Flower tent. Coming down pretty soon. Replacing with 2 new 2x4. That and the 3x3 are plenty for summer.

3x3 with Grape Fanta. Pruned them. Fims took perfect now I will promote heavy veg. Take 1 , 2 takes its place.
Heil Hydra.

The 2 clones I just couldnt kill in solos’ are replacing the mother. Streamlining. Ill expand back in fall when environment can be controlled cheaper.

Thanks for looking.

The pruning of the Grape Fanta triggered the reaction i wanted. They are going vertical and sub branching is spreading.
I am a firm believer in prune for photo during veg if want big full plants. Lately I have been short sweet turn and burn.
I really want to see what a 5 year pheno hunt strain looks like grown for fun over need. Plus bud of the month must be mine. All shall bow before me and tremble. I shall shake the foundations of the earth :rofl::joy:.

I can say the main stem is very solid at this young stage. I do not see a ton of training from these. Have added no silica. I think these girls would be prone to splitting at trunk.

There’s usually more than enough Si in soils without adding more.

I know. I add during flower typically. Sometimes if flimsy girls coming up but not often. I am on reused soil past 2 year mark. Always need a little love.

I’ve added 2 ml of silica blast per gallon since they started flowering - about 4 weeks. I can tell the difference in the cell structure. I just pulled one out to defoil a bit and it makes me nervous. The plant bends and sways at the bottom. The stem is carrying all the weight. It wouldn’t take much to snap something important. The main stem is stiff as a woody on a blue pill.

I like using the montana Si volcanic tuft as part of the minerals mix for re mineralizations. Bout as far as I go with 8 yr soil.

Had a friend test the ppm on this and rhino skin. It’s around a tbs of Agsil in a qt of distilled. You could add the whole bottle and not overdo Si. It’s basically a gimic for sales with most Si products

Figures. The rationale I used to this was to improve trichrome development. That is still not confirmed but, I am hopeful.

Thanks budbrother. For this grow, I wanted to try it and didnt do any research - took the easy route and searched Amazon and walla, I have a quart of the Botanicare product. Appreciate the knowledge.

Bugbee recommends it but uses rice hulls.

The stems and branching are very strong. Stronger than most I have grown.

Well i made another decision to change the grow. Always a tweak available.
In about 3 weeks the last big girl comes down. So does the 5x5.
2 2.5x4.5 Tents go up. I am pretty dialed in and I bet that I can turn enough out of 3 smaller tents as I do a 3x3 and a 5x5.
These tents are 70" tall. 1 of my Es300 a tent will work awesome. The extra half a foot each way is nice. I can drop a light,300w of electric, And have 1 clone, 1 variety and the 3x3 to do whatever. With the vertical space I can do 4 5g or 3 7g pots and just do my no real train grows each tent.
I have enough stored gear to put up 5 full tents atm. At least I will only need the tents. Going to toss a 4x4 and an old 2x4 and an old 4x8 in the trash..lmao. They are just a frame and covering so of no value to me.
My journey over the last few years has gone from a (4x8, 4x4,3x3,32x32",2x4) setup to a (5x5,3x3,32x32). Once again I shrink it. Some of our circle have passed, sigh, but such is the cycle of life.
As my grow has dialed in, no gear really just procedures, my yields per square foot have increased tremendously. 1 plant grown fully yields 10 zips or better. Latest plants have been much less as I have been turning and burning them small. With 3 full environments i can let our main product get big and have 1 turning variety smaller and faster. The 3x3 will be my I love you plant tent. The top end stuff, pheno hunt, etc.
If I find I am not able to keep up with demand I can always throw the 5x5 back up and return it to flower tent status.
If nothing else will alleviate some boredom.
BTW!!! As i roll through storage I will be selling my light rails. They are for a 4x4/4x8 setup. These things are friggin awesome. SUPER cheap. I hate good gear sitting. They will drop light needed 20% or better. Always slowly moving. No hotspots. No missed coverage. If any on the other side need or want message me there.
