Stem looks odd, is this normal?

I just have a quick question, at which point does the plant’s stem get thicker? I have an oscillating fan blowing around it to give it a little rustle, but this is only a week old. It’s CBD white widow from this site.

In Fox farms ocean forest soil. Keeping humidity high
She’sa week and 2 days old.

Also, can anyone help me understand why the stem is different shades of color.
Is this cause for concern?
It appears to be more lighter towards the top.

Your seedling is fine. The only issue I see is that it is stretching for more light.

I agree with @MidwestGuy ur plants look good they need more light

Yeah, try lowering the light or raising the pot a bit. There’s some good raisers on Amazon or make your own, probably cheaper. My lights have a clamp that allows me to lower / raise them. The plant needs more light and is asking for more!

Looks ok to me…

Good looking seedling. Like already stated she is stretching for more light. Happy growing journey :v:

You can also burry the stem up to the cotyledon
