Love the smell Of Diatomaceous Earth in the Morning!
Looks good, DE will add silica to the soil, so thats a plus, but train early.
I add the bits every couple watering’s its just beneficial nematodes and corn cob; as a preventative.

@Hellraiser would you mind reading my thread here (when & if you have time) and maybe give me your 5cents?
Thanks for the tag @JaneQP but I’m afraid I’m no help… I don’t know either!
I dusted the dirt with DE and sprinkled Mosquito Bits and now a couple of my girls are not happy.
This girl never had these curled top leafs.
And Joline looks droopy.
Can this be a coincidence?
Tis a calculated risk well worth eradication of whatever the pest maybe. DE nor Bits shouldnt have any NPK so no worries on nute burn with them.
Could have possibly wonked pH a tad but by next feed/water ull be fine. Step one is death to the invaders my friend.
Great advice above. Stay the course and watch for improvement
A couple more have started to get weird at the leafs.
Hopefully it will remedy itself like @PurpNGold74 said.
Thank you.
The de u used. Is it diatemacious earth. Bag dont say that. Is the pool stiff different?? This might be the issue idk tho. Never seen de like that before
Another thought: test your Brix (sugar content). Try to get high sugar content in the plant to increase health. Pests that feed on foliage do not like high sugar content. It’s not a pesticide — you can still wage war — but a natural defense mechanism.
Not spider mites, looks more like a soil dweller like springtails that aren’t that harmful to plants but better to have no bugs. The DE and mosquito bits will help keep them under control near the surface, a neem oil/water mix drench will make them want to leave the soil but will need to time that with a future watering, don’t want to over-water.
I think they are aphids. I just figured out how to take pictures of stuff that small… but they are fast crawlers.
Aphids are NOT fast crawlers
They eat and shit and give birth in place until your plant is covered like a space invader game
They are a slow moving group
Can we see a pic of the pest if you can
You said you figured out how to take pics of stuff that small
I Get home around 5:30. I plan on taking the pics then and will post.
Please tag me when you post it thanks …
Me to also please I am having issues also.
I also have these tiny flies around the bucket with the most crawlers.
These are the best ones I can take.
I have a video but I can’t seem to upload it
Some baby aphids can look like tiny translucent crickets
The adults with wings can look like tiny files
Looks like aphids and fungus gnats
