So I started these ladies a few months ago outdoors in 10 gal pots with fox farm ocean Forrest soil and I just noticed that a couple of the plants are starting to get a few reddish stems near the leaves here and there but other than that the leaves and buds seem to be doing okay. I did the same thing for each plant but this only seems to be happening to these 2. The only difference than the others would be strain, tho tbh I lost the labels and don’t know which is which atm was hoping I’d be able to identify by the buds but so far all the buds on all the plants look the same lol. Got them from seedsman. (“Blow dream”, blue fire, cheese, and white widow.) Anywho what could be causing this redness and if it’s an issue what can I do to correct this?
@Tsupreme. Rest of the plant looks healthy.
Some strains show purpling in the fan stems due to genetics.
Not too concerning at this point.
This is typically more common under LED grows, but it happens outside also. I wouldn’t stress to much. All of mine are purple.
My outdoor girls have had a redish or purple line on the leaves just about all summer so I wouldn’t worry about it to much
These guys got you covered!
Mine have quite a lot of redish fan leaf stems as well! Signs of a mature plant…
Yep, totally natural
All my widows have a touch of purple on the fan leaf stems . I’m guessing it’s a genetic thing
Sweet, thanks everyone. This place is dope, everyone’s so helpful lol
At most it might need a touch more phosphorus, but it’s most likely normal color like the others have said.
You probably are getting close to needing to feed nutes though if you have the ocean forest and it’s been a few months. Unless you already are.
