I’m having some troubles with my girls. They grow in coco/perlite mix, about 50/50. And they are in Autopots, or in Gogro system which is quite the same. 6th week is about to begin. The other one is showing light green coloring, even little yellowing on the top of the plant. And yellow leaf tips. Other one isn’t so bad. But it has also some yellow tip leafs on the top. I use Advanced Nutrients Sensi coco A+B line+B52 and Bud Candy. And oh, also Voodoo Juice because i planted them to that system 3 days ago.I measured 3ml/L for the Sensi, and 2ml/L for the B52 and Bud Candy+Voodoo Juice when i made the mix in to my reservoir. What is causing this?
My rh meter broke down couple of days ago, havent bought new one just yet. But then rh was 55-60%. They are under Lumatek Attis 300W pro, which is dimmed 50%. Distance to plants is about 45-50cm
I ask because the of the yellow spots.
Have you felt the spots (use clean hands and clean them after)
Do they feel slightly raised, almost like a pimple?
Im not sure yet. I have a number of things in my head it could be.
Its just the spots which concern me most.
Im not saying it is this. Just that the spots remind me of it. It could be any number of things at this point. Need to investigate some more.
However, Ill pop this here just in case:
I don’t have runoff because they are in Gogro system, which is equivalent to Autopot. And don’t have extra calmag, that AD Sensi coco line should have calmag covered. My ec is 1,0 currently. And that’s another thing, i read somewhere that when using Advanced Nutrients, you can’t rely on those readings because all the stuff that is in those nutrients and additives
Are they getting fertilizer every time they get watered?
I would say it’s a minor nutrient deficiency and you might need to up the fertilizer a little bit. Make sure your fertilizer has iron in. Iron and nitrogen deficiency cause yellow leaves. Calcium and magnesium deficiency can cause yellow marks on the leaves. Also a good idea to check for the disease mentioned by Tdh3712.
You don’t normally need a 50/ 50 mix with coconut coir and perlite. You can usually get good results with a 70/ 30 mix (70% coconut coir/ 30% perlite). However, if the 50/ 50 is working for you, then that’s fine and stay with it.
Hi, I joined to this forum yesterday, and i had limitations how many messages i can write as a “rookie”. Couldn’t reply on anything. But now i can again. Yes, they are getting ferts, i planted them to that gogro system on sunday. I mixed that coco/perlite 50/50 mix because i read that it would be good mix for gogro/autopot systems. I’m new to growing in coco, have been growing in soil before.
