All the other strains are good and they all get the same bottle of wine. but my Grandaddy Purple are a little light in color and it has spots on the leaves. It wasn’t there yesterday and this is the first time it has happened to me.
Any tips on what I should try first to fix this.
I’m a beginner with the strain GDP
Maybe calcium or magnesium? I’ve had rust spots come up on leaves and it was because I needed cal mag. I’m fairly new to growing though so I would wait for others to chime in.
Also it would help if you fill out a support ticket.

I checked the Run off and it was supper high. I was told to do a full flush and to tweak my 3.1.1 NPK maybe 6.3.3 NPK? Any second opinion? Keep it the same?
My NPK ratio is probably off in the soil then she went into lock out. I hope she feels better soon because I really wanted to try this strain.
I watch my PPM, PH and NPK going in but it’s hard to watch the run off if I don’t have run off when I water.
Sorry what’s your PH and TDS? You put in a few different values.
Whenever you feed nutrients you should be shooting for 20% run off as this also does a mini flush to avoid salt build up, if you don’t do this you slowly build up excess salts which bring your PH out of wack and lead to plant lock out then you need to do a big proper flush.
What fertilizer are you using?
How old is your plant?
Can you provide a full picture of the plant please?
Also can you draw a diagram or show us pictures to help us understand how your ducting system is working? I feel you may need some guidance in this area.
As to your specific question it’s a Manganese issue, pretty rare to be honest even more so in soil so that has me thinking your PH or your nutrient feeding is off. So before we try and fix the specific issue let’s ensure your whole environment is ideal as this will probably fix your issue.
Please answer all my questions as this will help me help you
Sorry about the unclear answers and thank you for your reply.
Answer to my ph, i try to keep it close to 6
My TDS, I keep it under 400 for he first month and 700 for the second month.
Fertilizer, I used nature’s nectar when I first started.
I recently switched to REMO 3 part. I think I know where I went wrong. I switched fertilizer and Remo has alot of salt. I never had to do 20% run off with nature’s Nectar every watering but I love that 20% idea so salts won’t build up. I’m going to add 20% run off to my practice.
The plant is over 2 months and the problem started when I picked the big leaves and topped it to even out the canopy.
About my ventilation:
I have 4 inch exhaust fan to the outside.
circulation fan from veg tent to flowering tent.
tent circulating fan that sucks air from the bottom to the top of tent.
So far I got the run off TDS down to half to what it was. I’m going to keep my original NPK 3.1.1 with 20% runoff. Also I think Im starting to see it’s darker green color coming back. Hopefully by tomorrow I can see a bigger difference in color and growth.
Thank you everyone for your time.
I guess this GRANDDADDY PURPLE strain is not as hardy as the other strains I have.
Keep your PH at 6.5, your PH is low although within range barely and not ideal keep 6.5.
Remos good stuff but like all bottles it’s expensive, follow the feed chart and yes 20% run off when you feed. Only feed after your soil runs low on nutrients (week 4 or 5?).
In soil for the first 4 weeks don’t water to run off, washing out nutrients, after that water to run off and test your tds. If ppm low start feeding.
Again follow the feed chart and the general recommendations.
Your plant needs more lihht your node spacing is to far apart try to keep it about 1" average, increase lighting, strength, or bring light closer.
Your plants hungry, unfortunately remo doesn’t provide tds amounts. So you’ll just have to trust them. Lol
Regardless your plant looks hungry. Ide feed give 20% run off
Although before I did anything you should google soil slurry sample and conduct one. This is important for an accurate PH reading.
It. May show you that you need to flush.
Report back with soil slurry sample let’s go from. There.
@Nicky
Ok I have my soil slurry results and this is what I did. It was my first time doing this. Excuse me if I did anything wrong.
Took the soil from the middle of pot, 1 part soil and 2 parts distilled water.
I measured the pH of distilled water, 6.5 @ 23°c
Then mix water and soil together.
I waited 30 minutes and I got a slightly lower result. Probably the same.
Then I thought maybe if I filter out the soil. Still slightly lower.
I’ve learned a lot and thank you everyone for your help. When I got up this morning I noticed the plants are getting their color back. I might need to stop using REMO 3 part fertilizer for now untill I find more info on it. I’ll sick to Nature’s Nectar, 20% run off and fertilize then run off is low.
