There was something consistently worrying presented within the high pressure sodium light fixture comments on Amazon, and I was just wondering if I do indeed need to be worried about the power company catching on, or my neighbors radio waves being disturbed (or something to that effect), if I’m only plugging in one light? As we live in a town that most people wouldn’t even call a town because there’s like five people? That just made me honk maybe they’ll totally notice because there’s only so many of us to monitor? Hoping I’m being paranoid because I honestly have no idea how it works!
I live in a very illegal state & use mh & hps. Unless youre growing quite a number of plants with many fixtures your footprint wont be too much. Main problem with these fixtures is heat & can be corrected with a cool tube. Your electric bill will go up but not that much and will depend on wattage. Im small running 400mh & 400 hpw with electric bill going up maybe $20-$30 per month.
Totally agree with the above statement. Also ive said this on multiple posts people grow things other then weed in thier houses. So if your house doesnt stink and u dont let anyone know about your grow you will be fine
Rfid is a real issue, and a single 1000 watt light is enough to cause problems for sure. Do you have others in close proximity? You can just use a magnetic ballast to combat that.
u can use up to 1000 watts of lights and pertaining equipment with no questions from the electric company.!
like dbrn said, one electronic ballast can cause RF ‘noise’,
if u r looking on Amazon it very well may cause ‘noise’,
good wiring with a good ground along with good quality ballasts r much less likely to create measurable RF interference.!!
