Sure did…Took a couple of months to get the yard back in order. Pullin trees back up and finding shit who knows how far away it came from. 23 yrs of this state and I’m done.

That’s about how long my mother gave it in Florida before she gave it up too, although she only moved to South Carolina.

I’m headin to southwest Va. Away from the ocean and high enough so flooding isn’t an issue. You can stick this state where the sun don’t shine…If your a Fl native I apologize, lol.

Hey dude @anon34311147 . I just read your bio. We have a lot in common. I’m from Charleroi,Pa 48yrs. No family anymore and it’s just me and my cat. Also played in a band for 17 yrs, bass. Been in Fl for 23 yrs and on my way out. The heat and the storms suck. I may get up that way within the year and if I do maybe we can hook up.

I live near Pittsburgh! Definitely we will hook up if you end up near me… i just live with my pet cat also. I still play my guitars and have equipment still. I see you play Bass! Amazing because everyone i talk to that is a musician plays guitar… i dot meet ot of drummers or Bass players.

I hear ya…I worked with one dude from here and he moved out. To many freakin people movin here. Got stung by a stingray in 2000. Only been in the water a couple of times in the past 23yrs. I’m 10 miles from the beach and only ride past it maybe once in 2 or 3 yrs. Can’t wait to get back to normal weather.

3 to 4 weeks and you will be happy you did.
Waiting for the right moment can be hard but the rewards are bountiful.
Once you are a pound or 2 ahead of the game it gets easier.

The only concert that I’ve seen while i was tripping on some good acid was Black Sabbath in 1986. It was a good time for me…

I’ll bet that was good…I think I was done going to concerts around the mid to late 80’s. I seen so many greats in the 70’s. Stones-Yes-Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder opened for Zep-Floyd-Santana-Aerosmith… These were at the Civic Arena. Many more at 3 Rivers and others… My smoked out brain can’t remember any more,lol. I was doing strawberry mesq again and saw Steely Dan & the Beach Boys . I wasn’t a fan of the Beach Boys just wanted to see Steel Dan. When the Beach Boys came on I was so high that they were about the best band I ever heard. Drugs make everything better!

I seen Ozzy Osborne with Randy Rhoads for the Diary of a Madman tour when at the Civic Arena in 1982. What a show that was!
I’ve only seen a few concerts there. Most were at the old Stanley Theater and Syria Mosque that I’ve seen. Both of those places are gone now. So is the Civic Arena. All gone man…
I seen Robin Trower at the Graffiti in Oakland Pittsburgh…

Cool! I’ll bet that was a good one… I’m glad you mentioned the Stanley, Mosque and Graffiti. I knew there were other places I just couldn’t remember there names. I saw Steely Dan at the Mosque and not the arena. It’s a shame that all the old places are gone.

Yes, they were beautiful buildings! The Mosque was like an Egyptian temple! Such a wonderful building of ancient art to take an acid trip in watching Black Sabbath perform live… when i think about it its like transcending time man… whew… what a feeling! I used to be a big Ozzy fan but not so much anymore…bummer trip on that. Ozzy just got to commercial for my taste…i dont care for any of his new music.

You think that the historical society would of preserved the Mosque at least. That was a special place for sure.

I agree but heres the issue they had. It was full of asbestos and once they figured out that inhaling the fibers was linked to lung cancer it caused all kinds of lawsuites. So they just tore it down to get rid of it all. It was loaded with the stuff!

Exactly, this is how screwed up everything is when politics get involved. They dont go after big brother tobacco companies. They generate all the taxes and collect money for the government. Big tobacco has big whiz lawayers. They know it kills people but they care more about the money so, they dont say a word. Instead they go after the vape companies to try to make them look bad and asbestos in buildings to switch the blame…

Its like the old Roman days when they used to feed Christians to the lions for entertainment. The government is using this tactic with Football to persuade US citizens. They want to keep us distracted and at odds with eachother so that we don’t focus on them and how they are trying to control us. Look how much they pay a football player! Football and other sports are the highest paid people on the planet other than the politicians. The Covid lock down was just a test to see how much they can control us and how much we complied. Covid was just the Flu virus that mutated. It happens every 3 years. It was nothing different but they had to start problems because Trump was getting the country together and giving it back to us. Its going to get very ugly soon. I am glad I’m on my way out also!
