Sex Threats male/hermies

Hi all, can anyone cough up some proven methods that have worked for them in identifying male plants, i hate applying my time to male/hermies, i have herd of people telling the difference from early as seed/seedling stage but its all google hunches, i want to know from real growers. Share some secrets please i wont tell.

My male is a freaking beast compare to the other two plants. I watched a guy on Youtube that dis Gorilla Grows on his property. He said the males grow insane compared to a female.

My male showed he was a dude after I lifeted her skirt.

My male loaded with a bunch if balls. :+1:

There aren’t really any secrets, but you will hear about things like seed attributes and plant size and attributes that are best ignored. The only real way is to wait until your plant sexually matures and starts showing.

i asked because its very frustrating for me grown like about 10plants so far and all have been hermies that time could have been used on a female. i just wanna find a full proof method because the more i put my hopes up is the more it gets shot back down

Or buy fem seeds. :v:

I will say my first male is really aggressive aka growing crazy compared to the other two regular seeds. I think I will have a female and the 3rd plant is stunted due to the other two plant growing so much better. :+1:

I’ve seen that and I’ve seen just the opposite as well. There’s really no way to reliably tell until you see balls or pistils. You can usually tell in plenty of time before they have the potential to pollinate any of your other plants.

Understand…only way to know is when it starts showing its sex. I’m just hoping that other is a female as the male is fully loaded. :+1:

Because of the investment of time and resources like soil, lighting and nutes, I dont want to waste time and effort on unknown seeds from bag weed. Did the grower have good genetics to start with like a stable landrace, or is he pushing production and using plants that go hermie which produces seeds prone to do the same. If you are having this problem consistently then the seeds are compromised or your growing conditions are stressful to the plant. Sure its hard to pay the market price for feminized seeds and yes sometimes you still have problems, but I personally think its better to have a sure female plant from the beginning.

@Spiney_norman Was only bag seed I ever got to try was a buddy of mine decided to grow the bag seeds. I nicknamed the strain a definitely not PC. I called it The Holocaust.

One puff and you was done in for a 3 hour ride of couch lock. It made me fell that my soul left my body and I was watching my comatose body lay there.

Reason why I hate Couch lock so much. That wasn’t cool because I smoked a joint the size if my pinky finger. :flushed:

Yikes…
Bag seed can absolutely be great and the seeds could be like you experienced.
And who doesnt like free seeds!
For my needs taking a chance on unknown outcomes is not worth it.
But then 20 seeds on sale will fill my needs for a year so for me it works best.
Others circumstances will dictate different choices.
