Setback or Future Opportunity for Exansion of Grow 😈

I give them the Jacks 321 but only every other watering, so a feed/water/feed method, so they get half the nutes my normal plants get. I don’t give any silica or calmag to the mothers.

Got a new add from chilled with the opti presale and some new add-on lights. :thinking: @dbrn32

I don’t think any of the ad-in’s really benefit my light. It’s veg spec.

It’s been a little bit since I updated on my setup evolution. I’ve decided it will never be done, because I will always want to tweak something. So evolution it is.

Flower Room: Hard lined auto-watering, and 3-co2 bags. I will add a second uva bar, but hlgs are sold out right now. Lights are currently turned to 580 watts and 612, respectively.

Veg Tent: I decided to move the cloner out, so I could turn up the chilled x3, which is currently drawing 180 watts. I’ll increase it incrementally and watch for the response. Also have hard line for watering large pots with halos, and a second with a few feet of hose and nozzle for hand watering smaller plants from the res.

Seedling/Clone Cabinet: Built a downsized cloner to fit into mother cabinet. I think the T5 light will be better all around for the cloner anyway.

I still need to tack down and organize cords now that the pumps and spaces are located. Unfortunately, the wife has a cold and is in bed. I don’t think she would appreciate me hammering right under the bedroom. :joy:

@dbrn32

I took some lux readings from the flower room, and the far left corner is low at 165x1000 lux, with the 650r at 590 watts (The HVAC vent tree runs along that side, which is obstructing light some.) Which is what had me looking at QB’s.

Secondarily, I’m going to start some clones in soil for a friend to transplant outdoors. I plan to start them and get them past transplant shock into 1-gal pots. I’m not sure I’ll have room in veg tent, so it would be nice to have a light that could work for both corner/edge lighting in flower room, veg a couple foot space, and flower 1 plant in 2x2 area if need be. Kind of a jack of all trades of sorts.

Do you think a qb288 or a couple qb96 elites would accomplish that, or would I need more?

I think the 288 board makes most sense in something like a 2x2, but something with a little more focused light pattern would make the most sense for binging up intensity in a corner. Leads me to think that something like a 135 kit probably makes the most sense for you right now. If that ever becomes full time 2x2 light it probably wouldn’t be that expensive to fix your corner.

Thanks as always @dbrn32 I still have almost no idea about the different light options with diy vs lower end lights for odd things.

I don’t think I’ll have to rush. I stuck my big cloner in my mechanical room, which has a 2-bulb fluorescent ballast on a plug. I swapped the chain for ratchet straps, and I believe I can root clones.

I should check what wattage it’s pulling from the socket…:thinking:

There is almost endless possibilities of what you could build yourself. You are only limited by your budget and imagination.
