Pretty sure the size of a UV sterilizer and the flow rate of the water need to be matched up, there needs to be a certain dwell time involved.
Canât you just put it in the red that it would pump from?
Yes, you could/should be able to, but it still needs a certain amount of dwell time in the sterilizer to do the job. Itâs not a closed loop system as the water goes to the plant and doesnât come back, the rez needs new water, sterilized again. Closed loop would simplify things greatly.
Iâm not saying it canât be done but itâs not as simple as slappinâ a steri on the rez and calling it a day.
I use these and it works perfectly for me. I have two 4 foot trays that take 6 pots between them. Theyâre connected to a water butt. Put the floats in each tray with their covers on a weigh them down. The water level sits around 1/2" and keeps my ladies happy till I get back. Pond pump on a timer keeps things moving till I get back
