Is it okay to run 24 hours of light for first week of seedling, then switch to 18/6?

Yes , I did the same thing 
I run them 24/0 for the 1st 14 days or more, I transplant from a solo cup to the final pot around day 14-18 and veg under an 18/6 schedule
