Thank you all so much.
Sounds like you have it figured out but I wanted to answer this question.
Even if a typical soil you have grown with before has not produced any issues, when you get a new bag, a quick slurry test to determine if it is indeed ph’d correctly will always set your mind at ease. Recently there was a batch of Ocean Forest that was as low as 5.8 ph even though the bags clearly state ph’d and triple washed to 6.5 ph. Mistakes can happen and do. I use Happy, Ocean and Coco Loco all by FF. I have yet to have issues but now when I get a brand new bag of any of the 3, I do the slurry test to be sure.
I also vote for the transplant. I tossed a clone out on the porch as she really did look like she was dying. Squirrels got to her, knocked her off the grill, split the solo cup she was in, cracked one of the stems. Anyway I wasn’t paying any mind to her as I thought she was dead. Here she was at harvest. Got an 1/8th off her. Never Give Up, Never Surrender!
Thank you! That is great information. Your plant turned out great. I probably pitched my clone too soon, but it was this same dirt, so there you have it. My Happy Frog arrives tomorrow, and I’ll do the transplant then.
Hello… Have had similar issues… After not having any… With a few sprouts.
Since seeds are all siblings and not clones… I took a… “must be a runt” and added a heat pad under about 75-80F and added a humidity dome… The heat really helps with vegging…
I’ve found that the chiller roots might stunt growth on “weaker” plants. I’ve also found some as well particularly sensitive to pH… Usually I run at 6.5 throughout most grows… But occasionally a plant or two will get all sensitive. Also the heat above soil needs to be high enough as well.
Until roots are developed everything comes through the leaves/stem.
Hi everyone, just a quick note to thank you again for your advice. I transplanted the seedling into new Happy Frog soil on 12/23, and it’s doing great! I’m already seeing growth. I will also try the heating pad.
Arent you glad you didnt throw her out?? She is gonna be your best!!!
