oh yeah… ok, I remember! Tomorrow we can go over the ppm and all that. You have a meter, correct? @Onlythebest79
Have you taken a runoff ppm reading?

Just getting caught up here…
I would fim based on the nodes rather than time from sprout. Nutes depending on what soil you’re using. Foxfarm Hasan lotofnutesto get you through veg. Your lighting sounds ample for the size tent you have, you can always add the second light for flowering.
I have meter and know how to check it. I was just stating that I don’t do it. I don’t want to sound cocky or arrogant but I believe in less is more and work smarter not harder philosophy. I know that after reading that leaves at the botom of the plant are going to die off and some leaves 1 maybe 2 will have a spot on it as I inspect my babies 2 maybe 3x’s a day. As long as it’s not more than that I don’t worry as that’s the plants natural life cycle. I only give nutes once a week and I give them all their food in one serving then water the rest of the week. I do a lot of reading on this site alone and once I have enough I come to an understanding then ask you guys to make sure and I run with it. If I make a mistake it’s a learning process and will take all blame for whatever happens ( unlike one other user on this site).
Calm down and take a deep breath…
So far you seem to be doing fine… just a little over excited… lol
I personally wouldn’t top or fem my autos … I think it is to ruff on them… I would do alot of bending and low stress training on auto’s…
(Fyi) I don’t grow auto’s…
They are fussy enough as it is from what I know… kind of like growing a true og…
Either way I would not top or fem them … I would get a PPM measurements to determine if they need nutrients or not , stick them in there final homes in 3 gallon fabric pots with a mix of 75/25 ffo and perlite and wait 1 month and then start adding nutrients…
But you definitely need a ppm and pH measurement to see what’s going on in the soil before you do anything drastic …

Well I broke down and ordered the meizhi 300w led with bloom and veg switch to go in my tent with the meizhi 600w that is 4x2x5. Also ordered another carbon filter and 6" cfm fan to replace the 4" one in my bigger tent.
Also here’s the home for my harvesting of my babies when it’s time to do so. You’ll see the mason jars quart and pint size and brown paper bags to dry them in. Haven’t decided if I’m gone use the paper bag method to dry or the tent with net. Still contemplating and reading about both techniques and will decide when I get closer to that time.
If you guys have any advice on the drying techniques please advise
Nice! Looks like your going all out! This crap is so addicting!
Nice drying rack @Onlythebest79…I was thinking about buying a rack… Just picked up some Ball jars today at Walmart… I’m interested in responses because I’m gonna be harvesting at end of July or first week of Aug… Good job on Meizhi!
Yes I’m trying to roll with all this knowledge you guys are giving me. Yes very addicting and I have these two tents that I need to have pretty much overkill with lights thatway I can’t say it’s my lights if anything goes wrong. So now in my 4x2x5 tent I have 900w a meizhi 600w and 300w for a true watt total of 416 true watts of power. My 4x2x6 tent which is teller has a meizhi 1200w with a true 568 power draw. With these two set ups I believe I have enough light power and plenty left over. My tents are both 8sqft but one is taller than the other.
@Onlythebest79
How big is the drying tent? 2x2? With the 4" fan/filter?
I bought the rack for like 10 or 15 bucks from Amazon and looks nice and it’s pretty sturdy. Only thing I’m contemplating is the laying of the buds on the rack and them rubbing off on to the rack. I bought brown lunch paper bags as one possible drying technique. As I can place and ounce or two in each wishful thinking. Fold top on bag and get a weight of the bag and buds in it. Once the bag and weed have lost 2 to 3 grams of weight I’ll remove and start the curing process. Has anyone heard of this process @Myfriendis410 I think I got this from one of your post. If so can you enlighten me on how you do yours.
Drying tent is 2x2x6 and I’ll have a 4" cfm pulling old air out through carbon filter. I’ll get a seed controller for the fan speed and set to lowest speed that way it don’t dry to quick.
@Onlythebest79 bro this delayed tagging that I’m dealing with isn’t getting better lol all the tags and posts from yourvthresf just appeared a few minutes ago sorry for not replying earlier
I have a rack also but I’ll use it for all the little stuff I
Hand all my large buds if put in rack it they will become flat on the side they are testing on as the buds dry just a heads up
Otherwise they work great
Hey I know you are a wanted man brother get to me when you have time. I know you have your own grow and helping others through this site via internet. I’m just happy you responded and take the time to help me out
@Onlythebest79
I’m planning on a 2x2 in the future as well. Wanting one for a combo germination/drying tent.
I’m wondering if you might be better off just hanging the whole plant in there up side and let it slow dry.
From my understand don’t they need to be dried in the dark? If so will that work in the germination tent as it needs light correct?
Not sure if they need to be dried in the dark. But having them in light might make them dry out to fast? Don’t know.
Yes from the reading they should have 24-48 hrs dark before you cut from stalk and if you are going to trim and manicure go ahead and place them in dark to dry over a period of 5-10 days until they are dry
@Rugar89 @Onlythebest79, everything I have read is that they need to dry in cool, dark area, low humidity with fan on but not directly so they don’t dry too quick… I’ve read some on paperbag drying but still not sure how that works?.. It would seem to me that putting buds in a paperbag would be inviting mold but this is my first grow… So need to iron out this technique… Gonna keep reading others ideas here on your thread
The paper bags help dry the crop at an even rate if I’m correct @Myfriendis410 please help. As you have a few who want to bite that technique off you
