So I thought winter would be great time to try DWC as my tent is in the concrete side of my basement and stays ambient 65- 68F this time of year. Ran some tests and never got above 73F and it was still pretty warm those days.
Had no issues germinating the jealousy seeds at all. Once popped i placed in root riot cube and gave it a couple days then in to DWC. So far PH and temps a very stable.

Looks like clean setup. In a perfect world you’ll want canopy temps a little warmer to get most vigorous plant growth. The tradeoff is that solution temps getting warmer can lead to bacterial problems.

I didn’t want to do the reservoir thing thats why i tested a lot before. The time of year and location is the only way i will get away with it.

10 days in , did first water swap and clean. Feeding full jacks 321. Water temps are staying between 68-70F canopy temp 71-72F. Two Mars TS1000 running at 25%
One plant is a bit on the small side bit of odd leaf shape more than likely genetics… No other issues to note at this time.

We are 20 days old , did a full cleaning of buckets had some funk in there. I believe its from the root riot cube the started in. Will use rock wool next time i do this. Other than that temps are still under 72F growth is good. The small plant is definitely a different genome but still trucking along. Increased light to 50% will keep that for another week then bump to 75% ppfd is 550 DLl 25.5

Started have serious issues with funk and temp so …. DWC was a failure 
cut them out of baskets and replanted in soil. Hope they recover if not i will just stick to soil and restart…
was a fun kinda experiment may give it another go at some point.

Worth a shot! They should recover fine in soil. Like big clones.

Plants recovered , switched to 12/12 on monday and they got their haircut yesterday. I do the clean out the bottom 1/3 for air and any big fan leaves blocking light type of trimming. Works well so far. Will move PH for 6.2 to 6.8 on next water /feed

The jealousy plants doing great despite the dwc fail and replant. About 6 /7 weeks left the frost is beginning to form.

That’s interesting I have a mini in my grow to but it’s doing just fine and it’s not stunted.

Ya that one was just fine but it had 11 leaves on it pretty crazy
