So whats more important, ph in or runoff ph? I keep lowering my feeding numbers but runoff is staying the same. Not sure if i need to be feeding in that low though
In
Out
Could the mosquito bits or the diatomaceous earth ive added before be affecting my runoff numbers now? Been awhile since ive added any.
Thursday was 6 weeks since i flipped her so i guess im technically about 4 weeks into flower.
There’s nothing wrong with your ppm. Both 850 and 1050 are plenty reasonable numbers.
To answer your question, ph and ppm are equally important. If your ph is off significantly the ppm won’t matter because plant wouldn’t take most elements anyway. Likewise if your ph is good but there isn’t enough fertilizers available plant still won’t get what it needs.
You shouldn’t be applying nutrient solution with a ph that low. If it’s trending up so high that you feel need to do that then just flush it and reset nutrients.
Thats what i was getting at lol.
I did plain water a time or two but i haven’t flushed this plant so that may be the best way to go. Ive been playing with it trying to get it right lol. Trying not to drive yall crazy with questions this time . I was thinking lowering the ph in would lower the out and fix it but i guess there is a little more to it lol. Thanks man!
Did you ever calibrate your meter?
I’m in FF soils and I don’t PH feed or water and have had great success my tap is about 160ppm and 8.3 PH
I did not . I did test the meter against 2 other pens though and they were all pretty close.
They look pretty good to me I would NOT flush I would go with calmag and water only next time then feed the next time
IMO FF has a buffer in the soil that seems to wear off around 4 weeks after flipping so IMO it doesn’t much matter what the input PH is until then
This is okay to do in small amounts, like a few tenths either way is plenty reasonable.
I have a little fox farm OF mixed in there but the majority of the soil is roots original. Not sure how much they differ. I did my last grow in OF and fed the trio and had very good results! Didn’t have a clue what i was doing. Dont think i tested runoff at all until late flower but luckily it worked out lol. When i was useing foxfarms i did flush twice as recommended on the bottle. Didn’t test runoff though so not sure what i accomplished .
I was a tenth of 10 past that lol. Im gunna go straight ph’d water when it dries out and ill do my normal 2 gallons which should yeild 1 liter or so of runoff. Test that and see where im at, if ph is still 7+ ill do another gallon and test again. Just keep repeating until i get down to 6-6.5, last time when i flushed i just did 15 gallons and never checked up lol.
I’m not sure either but I would bet they are similar with a buffer
it looks like they are a little lite green on some lower leaves not bad but some calmag should darken them up a little, IMO it always helps mine
It may also just be the picture looking lite green
I noticed when i was doing my trim the other night the stuff that had been shaded was alot lighter shade than the tops were. I dont think i have anymore cal mag on hand .
Freaking Outstanding Pharmer, isn’t it nice to be able to relax and adjust when needed
Loving every minute
Great luck fishing
