She is looking great buddy, and nice rifle! Hope you enjoy the hunt.
“I can hear my old man, sayin son just sit still. Cause you cant find peace like this, in a bottle or a pill.”
I saw your eminem lyrics yesterday, i wanted to say something but it looked like you were pretty much covered haha. These came from a larry fleet song i remember that ment alot to me back when i was locked up in the grain. Been a long 3 years and i hope the next 3 is even longer lol. Idk why im even concerned about it, you got to good of a head on your shoulders to not figure it out homcicle. You got it!
Appreciate ya! Being able to get in here and talk to everyone helps. Hope you are having a great day!
Any experience with zastava? My buddy has an ak from them and the stock is loose. Took it to a shop and the guys at the counter said they couldn’t do anything. Lol
Do you happen to know the model?
I want to say it’s this
Will have to check with him to be sure. He said it’s very loose and there isn’t a way to tighten it
I think that is actually a pretty common problem with alot of wood stock rifles. There is a long bolt that goes down the rifle that holds the butt stock in place. And either 2 or 3 smaller bolts on the front grip. Quick fix i would suggest putting toothpicks in the boltholes then put the bolt back, the toothpick should take up the slack. Other than that about all he could do is get an aftermarket stock made of something harder. I hope this helps!! Im not super familiar with AK’s
Nice tip! I will forward it along.
Common with ak’s. You will see some of the die hards even suggest the typical slop in them is the reason they always work lol.
The fix for this is to remove bolts and place shims between stock where there is slop then replace bolts. Depending on which part needs shimmed and how much the materials vary a lot. Checking ak or ar forums would help a bunch.
Thats where the toothpick comes into play .
I thought putting them in bolt holes was to give stripped threads some traction. In the repairs i have seen were mostly along the stock tang. Toothpicks may fall out, but I suppose they would work. I think the most ingenuitive I’ve seen was to build it up with a layer of 2 part epoxy and then sand down flat.
Of all the scary rifles I have only one of them is brown and it’s not an AK lol. The stocks are too short and I find rather annoying to fire. But I really don’t like the smell of lube from steel cases getting hot and it seems impossible to find anything brass for them.
Ive never been a fan of the 7.62x39 cartridge. Lots of deer are still alive today because people lob bullets at them with an SKS lol.
Until recently we weren’t even allowed to hunt deer with rifle. We can use straight cartridge. 30 or larger now.
Here is just has to be centerfire . Probably alot of the reason yalls deer are so much bigger up there haha.
Mind if i throw my possible dilema out here on your thread and see what we can come up with? In the past two weeks, ive seen hvac issues addressed as well as firearms today so i think my non emergency plumping problem fits the bill!
This may be diet related
Well done! let the records show it “plumbing”
Fire away lol. Ive came to realize there is a couple of everything on here. Im sure there is a plumber or 3 watching right now just wishing someone would ask something .
Appreciate it! Ill get some pictures as soon as i get home and go from there. No leaks or anything, just want to get everything set up properly so there isnt any issues come moving time.
I would love to see the day when there are no issues…let me know when this happens…lol…right now I have the front and back doors standing open trying to get the humidity down…its working…issue temporarily resolved…Happy Growing
