@Ericg11b im easy to find too…
Lol yeah that’s a hell of a stretch there
Noooooo! Busting out the necronomicon! What happened? I’m about to start my first grow and I wanna know if the HF/OF/Perlite combo is worth using or if you think I should just do it the “hard way” so I can learn what my girls really need. Over 1 year later what’s the update?
Many growers use this recipe. I’d suggest just HF/perlite if growing an auto. They can be more sensitive to high nute levels, particularly when the plant is young.
Hi I know this forum is kinda old. I am looking to get into growing weed. Fox Farms has a Coconut Coir and Perlite mixture called Cultivation Nation. I was think of using that along side of FFOF and FFHF. Do you think this would be a good idea? Also when putting soil in a planting pot (I was planning on using a cool planter bag thing I found) you were talking about doing 3:1 soil to perlite and 2/3 FFOF on bottom and 1/3 FFHF on top. How exactly do you measure all of this from 2 different soils and perlite?
It is but thats ok. In the future if you wanna tag a grower in a new thread so as to not “wake the dead” just tag them like @Docnraq .
You can but tbh if you add a scoop of perlite to every 3 or 4 of either HF or OF you are getting about a 70/30mix.
Scoops. I use a large movie cup when scooping soil. So if I do 3 scoops soil one scoop perlite thats 3:1 soil to perlite mixture. Or about 75/25. As for 2/3OF and 1/3HF just eyeball bottom 2/3 of the pot in OF/perlite mixture top 1/3 HF/perlite mixture.
Welcome to the forum.
Currently trying KIS-Water Only Soil for indoor growing.
Additional perlite (because I overwater).
Mycorrhizae (For Root "Growth Juice).
Recent Forum reading led me to trying “BIO-CHAR”
Have some ILGM Hindu Kush (P) and Afghan (A) seedlings started
10-7 (NK1 parent-hosted for the month).
Now growing in KIS.
First two waterings to run-off level both are similar to my use of FFOF.
Currently without “washing new soil” the PH comes high and PPM is airborne.
Seedlings tolerating well, maybe.
Watering to run-off for first time in fresh mixed soil.
Water 1-gal in 6.4PH and 500PPM
Water collected measured PH 7.2 range with PPM 2500.
Will adjust in future watering.
This is false. You can grow 3 plants in a 2x2, I’m currently doing it. Some push 4 but you have to know what you’re doing. Anything about 5 is def no.
Fox Farm does the same thing… good quality soil and don’t have to worry about pH levels…
