Reb's second grow with GSCE Auto

Thanks for that info! I went ahead and removed the rack and put the pot back on the pan.

@Reb Glad you were able to get the help you needed so promptly. That will be my first question from now on if it’s a pot for pot system because……… good luck Reb. :call_me_hand::call_me_hand:

Week 4 update:

I’m gonna start LST later on today after work and I’ll provide some pics once that is done. It’ll be my first time using LST clips. On a side note, this plant seems to be a bit “bushier” than my first grow.

Some light LST training this morning…

Anxious to see how she looks tomorrow after doing this. Hopefully I didn’t screw anything up.

Week 5 update:

It’s interesting seeing how this one is growing compared to my first grow. This one seems to be more “bushy” than my first grow. I’m guessing that is probably because it hasn’t stretched as much. I’ve been paying closer attention to my DPI schedule. That seems to be paying off.

I still have room to improve on my LST. I think I need to start much earlier in manipulating how I want to bend her. I came really close to topping this one a couple weeks ago but held off. I’ll definitely top on my next grow though.

She’s certainly seeming to do better than my first attempt. I’m gonna trim some of the leaves underneath later to get better airflow in there. But so far, so good.

Looks fantastic. Great job. Myself personally - I would do a lot of defoliating. But I struggle with knowing if I’m defoliating too much or too soon. But I would at least snip any leaves touching soil and down very low. Can’t wait to see the final product, it looks like a winner.

Thanks! My first grow, I didn’t have to worry too much about the leaves. This second grow much “bushier”. I’ll check out some videos and go from there to make sure I don’t cut too much.

The thought process is poor airflow breeds plant issues and if it’s bushy at the bottom or touching the soil you create that environment for things to breed and extra humidity below. I’m high right now sorry if not saying it well lol. But there’s basically no such thing as too much. It’ll handle way more than you think. I’m nervously about to do some major butchering to a plant in flower right now and hating it but curious how it will go. Good luck and thanks for posting - great grow!

Hahaha I’m jealous! I just removed the lower leaves that were real close to or touching the soil that weren’t getting much light. Gonna do some more in a couple days to get rid of some of the larger fan leaves that are blocking some nugs.

One other observation I’m having with this grow is that she is very stout smelling!
