Absolutely the bomb! Love the set up! I assume, that in the photo, I this is the chiller to told me About?
Yes, chiller is just to right of reservoir
I’d say this would be an easy rdwc for a diy set up. You would have to go from 5 to 3. This was my first diy set up in a 4x4
5 gallon buckets
Small water pump
3/4” hose line
2-1/2” bulkhead fittings
2” pvc pipe
Drip rings
5 gal mesh bucket lids
Few bags of hose clamps
hows the system coming? @PharmerBob
going good, I ran 3 of those set ups for a while but just recently did a under current system with bigger tanks.
Only issues I’d say with that are the mineral deposits that build up over time and don’t come out with water change since the plants can’t be moved.
Hopefully the undercurrents helps but I always run pretty high ppm
@PharmerBob That’s a really slick looking system! Do you have any trouble keeping your water temp down with the reservoir in the tent? I found mine got hot real quick so I ran it back outside, but now it’s in front of my door and really in the way. After my current grow I’ll tear it apart and fix the hose situation so it’s out of the way.
No issues with temp except it stayed a little too cold.
Ran drip rings for 5 mins every 3 hours
@peachfuzz did you ever start that journal? I would like to read that.
@ljpap57 I just finished my new RDWC system, cost me $80, $60 of which was an overpowered and high quality 600 GPH pump. I have not grown in it yet, but it seems like it should work out pretty well. I also built my last system, that was a DWC that I just harvested my first grow from.
No I haven’t yet… @Jstar
This summer has been brutal and I really haven’t had time…
Hopefully by the middle or end of next month I can get on it…
I’ll definitely start a thread when I do…
Your system is lookin good…
