Rasing soil ph!

Just a quick question.
My soil tested 5.5 out the bag! No wonder im having issues.
I need to raise the soil PH obviously.
Ive watered to PH 7. Can I go higher than this next time to bring the soil back up?
Or should I keep watering to PH 7 over next couple weeks?

What type of soil you using Grow Bro?
If it’s living soil no worries but if not you can do what your doing it will have to be higher get it back up :v::love_you_gesture:

I had a bag of Ocean Forest come back at 5.4. You could run 3x the pot size of water through it to do a pH reset. 3 gallon pot would need 9 gallons give or take. Make sure you have about 300 ppm’s in the water when flushing to do the reset so the water affects the soil and not the reverse.

Dolamite lime I think it’s called can raise your soil ph

Dolo Lime takes several months to affect the ph. FYI…see below
Dolomite lime can take several months to significantly change soil pH, but the full effect may not be seen for a year or more after application, with most noticeable changes occurring within the first few months following application; it typically takes two to three years to see the complete impact on soil pH.

PH up/down works quickly

So, what im asking is could I give it PH 7.5 water instead of PH neutral?
Its a potting soil called plant magic soil supreme. Its supposed to be ph 6.5 out the bag.

Yes that’s what I did when I had this problem. Till if gets back to 6.5 you may have to go in higher than 7 to get 6.5 coming out. :v::love_you_gesture:

Its lihhts off atm but this is a few days ago.

This is the other one. It seems to be able to handle the acidic soil much better though.

So, my plan tomorrow.
Do a full flush on both plants. (I have flush solution).
Take a PH, PPM and EC reading after.
Then do a full feed with PH 7.5 water.
Test run off from the feed and note numbers.

Next feed adjust accordingly.

Solid plan and I think that will get you back on track. Worst case you may have to do the dolomite lime. But not yet. :v::love_you_gesture:

You use cal-mag? If not you may want to. I use it start to finish :v::love_you_gesture:

Look how bad this is!
A slurry test on the soil straight out the bag!

Is your meter calibrated?

I will do a recalibration tomorrow before anything but im sure its fine.

Yeh. Always calmag.
Just think the PH is to low so the plant cant uptake it.
I noticed the start of the deficiency on another threat. Trying to figure out what the issue is.

My tap comes out 7.5 to 8.0

Just this second recalibrated it.
The metre was out by 0.1 which is quite normal.
This is a cup of water after rehabilitation

This is the exactly same slurry from above after recalibration.

I put a review up about the soil. Now the manufacturers want to talk to me about it.
Its actually insane how acidic it is.
