Rainwater. how long is it good for

curious about how long it will stay good,uncontaminated and covered,

Id imagine 24-48 hours before getting stagnant of course the more there is the longer it will take

so, it can actually do more harm than good if it’s been sitting longer than 48hrs. Iv’e been using it thinking it was better than tap water. It’s only in a 4 gal bucket

@Spongefiller,

I collect rain water for my girls and never had any problems with it. I just found two 50 gal drums plastic which i will collect rain water in to water my girls. The containers will be sealed but when it rains they’ll fill up and the extra rain water will run off the over flow shoot. I n0t going to worry about hold long it’s going to be in there i have had water in my room for months before using it with no worries ,

Just my thoughts on rain water
