From my understanding, cannabis is primarily pollinated via wind, so you would think that it wouldn’t attract any bees. That being said, you can find honeybees taking pollen from all sorts of plants including Soybeans and corn which are also wind-pollinated. In central VA we are about to enter a nectar and pollen dearth, so the bees will be looking for any available source for food from now until we get a small nectar flow again in the fall. My Cannabis will probably enter flower in the next few weeks, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled. I’ve kept honeybees for several years now, I’m always interested in what they’re doing and feeding on.
Howdy. I have always grown outside. All I have observed. Bees just investigate. Then buzz off(hehehe) Hummingbirds dont do weed you see them zippy things! Nah same thing. Quick investigation. Then gone. I have mine covered due to weather conditions. Bipolar mother nature in Pa.
