Will autos produced in 90 degree temps?
Indoor or outdoor? Short answer is yes, but other factors will have heavy bearing if indoor.
yes, but not perfectly, my tent has had an average temp of 95 for about 2 months now and I just harvested a couple weeks ago, and have new ones going now (I have no choice or option to control temps outside of the fans I use, old electric in the garage can’t handle air conditioning or heater)
outdoors
I’ve just got through a run with autos outdoors.
We’ve had an excessively hot summer with many days in a row into the low-mid 90’s. The flowering plants were not happy. Too hot, too sunny, not sure which, but they were pretty torched.
my plant just sprouted, I hope the weather cools off in the next couple of months
They will, but it’s not optimal by any means. I grow mostly outdoor and we’ve had temps in the 90s. Heat indexes in the 100s.
Make sure you keep your pots away from hot surfaces. Elevating them on a wire shelf or something similar helps keep them cooler. Fabric pots help. You can shade your soil with light colored, breathable cloth.
These won’t guarantee success, but they’ll definitely give you better odds.
Definitely too hot for a seedling. She’ll roast.
I keep her in the shade
i will shade soil , thanks
I can attest to this. I’m doing it now but it will take weeks of hardening off. No direct sun all day when it’s that hot. Shade from 11-3 depending on where you’re at in the world.
wow! those are nice. how soon should i give nutes?
Depends on your soil and plants. Do you have a TDS meter?
This is how I did mine, I first started them off in 1 gallon pots until they had a good root system, then I dug holes straight into the ground, put some Sevin granulated insect killer in the holes in case of cutworms, I filled each hole with Batco potting soil, my nukes were Fox Farms trio grow big, and tiger bloom, I also spayed them with Humboldt Flower Shield, every 4 day’s to keep insects off, I’m sure everyone has different ways, this is what works for me, in high heat you have to give extra water, I’m thinking next grow I’m going to use regular feminized seeds, but you can definitely do it man
No I don’t, most likely I’ll go get one today😂
It’s not absolutely necessary, but it can take a LOT of guess work out of nutrient issues.
