Hi - I currently have a 4’x4’ grow tent with an Optic LED Slim 500S. I am looking to add a second 4’x4’. Optic LED seems to be running out of inventory and hasn’t come up with anything new. I am considering a HLG Tomahawk 650. Does anyone have experience with the Grow Flux controller? I am curious about I currently use the Optic controller, and it is pretty simple and intuitive. Any advice would be appreciated. I know that there are a lot of HLG fans out there.

Ha Ha! Sometimes I wonder if newbies like me should learn to grow with analog everything just to better understand the process.

It’s just easier and more basic. You lose power for a while, you don’t have to worry about reprogramming or anything

I don’t know that it helps in that regard, but it’s certainly a more simple approach. For me, it’s about being less likely to have settings wrong or fail. I have a box full of analog timers and even if i didn’t there’s a dozen stores within 10-15 minutes of my house that carry them. If you become dependent on fancy stuff it really sucks when the fancy stuff doesn’t work.
I have the fan controllers but still don’t use them.
