Purpose Built shed 2017

yes in some ways no in other it is less intense but nicer spectrum to work in being white light. Uses single bulb and cooler but costs more than a standard digital MH/HPS bulb ballast shade combo.
I honestly love them but price is nearly double reg 600w for a digital ballast and shade and bulbs are separate the one piece units are magnetic ballast and non dimming. I justify mine in bulb life energy savings and color as well as UV level and PAR/watt ratio but same can be said for LED’s.
600w HID’s are proven performers LEC requires a good grasp on your plants nutrients and training and has lower yields being less of footprint and watts though I think potential is there

@Donaldj question about the lec light what type of heat do you generate with them
I love my leds but I’m designing my grow room build and I’m considering the lec lights since I’ll be in the market for more power hahhaha
I’m not doing the build out till after the new year so I have time to research them some more still on the fence ? I’ve only grow with led indoors up to this point :+1:
FYI I’m away from home dealing with family emergency so if I don’t respond immediately you know why but I definitely want to discuss this with you sir

LoL that my friend is the fun part they are 315w and a vented shade lowers their UV I haven’t used my thermal cam or laser on them since I fully intended to use them to heat my shed. What I can say is during summer I kept entire grow space at ambient temps pulling fresh air with single 435 cfm exhaust fan meaning had good temp control, and in spring was able to bring entire space to 70’s running a single light and recirculated exhaust even while -20c outside. and with ambient in 30-50f lately have also kept my temps inn comfy range using simple damper and partial outside air intake  so honestly they are working nice for me I could likely add 2 more but pretty sure I would have my nuts in a vice when bill came in

If you aren’t concerned with initial cost they pay for themselves fast and I am liking results of light mover with them I suspect if I ran 2 movers and 2 lights spaced for a 4x6 scrog they would be killing it. Currently run each light for 3x5 and get decent returns considering light distance for footprint but mover makes closer optional

Nice @Donaldj the $ isn’t my concern over all proformance is
would you say they are better for veg or flower ? I’ll be keeping my leds also and will need more lights for one of the room s I plan on building

The uv bumps trich production and the real white light makes monitoring plants a breeze over purple or yellow light also 2 bulb spectrums 3200? and 4200? but don’t let K fool you they have far better PAR per/w than most lights  I find my ladies in flower stay greener longer and deeper into canopy too. If I get home early enough I will take pics of the bottom of my ladies under light mover with single 315 thumb size nugs and compact even at base through a thick upper canopy hydro mind you but still pretty cool to see

@kabongster I won’t get true measure of light mover advantage until I run soil scrog which I have a baseline for and my plants are bouncing back from flush res change on hydro unit will be flushing cycle tomorrow 1 more week give or take few days.space will be emptied then adding styro to floor moving GC in and adding screen

I hate hospitals! Hope everything is ok with the family!

The flash makes picture look different but those buds are almost 3 ft below light the top buds are almost done

I should’ve put her in scrog she stretched and found to flaw in my aero unit for me they all toppled and settled deeper into unit will be revamping soon as it finishes

isn’t that something though that there are buds on that first one so low on the plant. You might do a gradual harvest if you have the time? The new shed seems to be working out well!

Looking great @Donaldj those are under the lec light ?

Both pictures same lights I was running Maxi series but that’s 3 runs with it where I have seen the claw during flower ph is super stable but just too much N so back to simple Lucas formula in flower  The pictures in post 751 are a single plant only looks like 2 lmao but that single plant has canopy spread 3x5 and just hit week 4 of flower so still has weeks of fattening to go. She drinks like a champ though 2 1/2 Gal every 3 days. Also under single LEC
