Going on guys and girls Newbie here.
I wanted to make a post about a close scare I had with my current autoflower grow.
Now a days a lot of use Smart Plugs, Smart Controllers etc.
It’s very easy to get complacent because we assume it’s all good or in my case one tent was good I figured the other was ( as they usually are identical).
Well I go out of town for 2 days and I water the autos and photos the night before I leave knowing they will be good but need a watering when I get back.
So long story short I get back and the photoperiods are looking amazing but my autoflowers were SUPER SAD.
They were 100% dry and had crispy leaves all wilted over I was so worried.
I couldn’t figure out why this happened.
I had to know what happened to that tent.
Well all my lights have their own smart Plug with schedules set.
Somehow my smart Plug schedule got turned off and the lights were on for 2 days straight at 100% intensity.
This is what made them dry up faster and the tent to get way hotter.
Luckily they bounced back quick after a good watering, feeding and some recharge etc.
Just wanted to say don’t get complacent just because we automate so much, accidents can happen and to double check everything especially if going out of town.
Glad it worked out for you!
Thanks, I was so worried. I couldn’t believe something as simple as something being unchecked could have been so bad.
FYI this is what I’m referring to for my smart plugs.
Both of those had got unchecked somehow. So people periodically check your equipment

Good recovery aint they tough weeds
Here they are not even 24 hours after I thought I had damn near killed them. They are definitely resilient
Ha I got some 2gal pots going now. One day late they droop bad. This time I set it in a tub to bottom water it and it floated.
Cannabis can take some real abuse. It is a weed after all.
Glad everything is okay now
Yea, being autos really worried me though especially only a few days into flower being a critical time and all I was like oh man I done ruined them over something so small I missed . They are pretty wild plants I will say.
Just that first 2 weeks theyre such babies then by 4th they get topped chopped bent flooded dried and pulled every way. Some do
These plants are so tough… They can handle an afternoon with my mother-in-law without a sign of defeat.
I still use mechanical timers and once a fan is turned on, it stays on. I may increase or decrease their speed but that’s it.
This is exactly why i try to use manual timers instead of smart plugs thae more that can go wrong will at some point lol glad the girls are bouncing back nithing worst than returning from a nice trip to dead plants or next to dead plants lol
