DIY is the way to go to save some $$. @$89/QB288V2 board w/ heatsink and $55-70 for Meanwell to drive 2-3 boards makes the solution very modular.

QB definitely popular here. I own a couple of them and can assure you they are all everyone says they are. I get nuggets so hard you can break a window with them! They get that tight!!

I have decided to go QB Kit… Still working on which one… Like stated earlier I have a 5x5 would like to utilize 4x4 and have space for myself. I have decided to possibly get another floor pan and stand it up and Velcro in place front and rear of pan, and possibly cut and add a zipper… or do a curtain of some sort. Anyhow QB it is and if sooner than later I will start my garden veggies, some little lemon, orange trees etc. I am so torn right now like a kid in a candy store. 60W XW QB V2 LED Kit Looks perfect, But so does the 260 kit could eventually add another 260 and fill the tent… Wow sorry for the ramble, decisions decisions… I have time, but at least now I have made a decision… QB… Okay cheapest and most effective way to eventually fill the 5x5 but 4x4 would do fine to start with. I will order in the next week or so… Thanks everyone whom chimed in!

Thanks wickedAle… I figure get one now, and save for another while I build my board. Wish I knew more about the drivers. Allot of options??? Oh well came here to learn while I wait. All my other stuff is still boxed tent etc. Going to pop it up soon and get some veggies going almost time to till the garden in Ohio… Hopefully Ohio will be legal by November or sooner!

Meanwell HLG320H-C2100A will drive 3 QB288 or
HLG240H-C2100A will drive 2. This is the one that will likely come with your 260W XL.
What would you like to know about the drivers?
Everything… No just want to be able to expand if and when the time permits. So the drivers are for expansion adding additional boards etc. I will do my homework.
Hlg # is the approx wattage. The 240H will go to 285+W.
The second number if it starts with a C is constant current and the number is the current.
A means it has an onboard adjuster where B means you need a potentiometer to adjust.
If the second number doesn’t have a C it is a constant voltage (although these you can adjust both the current and the voltage (2 pots if A)

The re submission was 4/13/18 Strickland did not like how it was written. So re subbed and hopefully soon! It actually looks like it will be federally legalized before Ohio gets it done. But I have waited this long… Still happy that its coming!
