I will probably get a 6" exhaust as plants progress, so good time to add that to order. Never ending $ my wife says.

So what about outdoors? Just sent first one from solo to pot. Looks more comfortable already. Wife tired of looking at solo cups as well. I get it.

If I was growing out side. I would want to skip the topping and get that one big ol cola 
You can still do all the lst you want to spread them out. Indoor, height is more of an issue for me. How ever you go. You should do well

Im not counting on good things outside. Bag seed so who knows. Can use them for training techniques practice if nothing else! If any are male, they are gone. Not risking my indoor grow ya know.

Hell if ur wife enjoys smoking she might complain at the beginning but as u go and get better she will start buying u stuff to help u better the stuff shes smoking i know mine was like that and went and surprised me with a scorpion diablo. Blurples and mh wing went to the closet shelf quick lol n

Light cycle first week of seedlings? I see some go 24 on at first. Seems they may need a break too though. Can look at 10 guides, and get 10 different suggestions of course. Yalls experience?

I start with 20/4 for a couple days then move to 16/8 my self

24 hours the first couple of weeks is what a lot do. But as with anything, it’s preference. I usually do the first week then 18/6. Or if you want to play a bit do 6/2. There are fun claims behind the 6/2, but no substantial evidence.

Do you run that 16/8 with both autos and photos? Also have you done the 18/6 as well? If so was there any significant difference? I know there are variances from grow to grow so this may be hard to answer.

@Low yes. I do both on it. I have used the 18/6, 14/10 and 12/12 I use the 16/8 since I seem to get a little faster growth. At least a little more stretch. I have used the gas lantern as well with bot. It seems to work out about the same as a 14/10. My grow I have just started is on a 16/8 It keeps a little heat out of the room. As well as saves some electricity since I have 7 lights going.
I my self think you can get by with almost any thing as long as there is a brief dark period. That seems to be when my girls do most of there growing. It could just be me there. I am always watching them But I do as well on a 16/8 as a 18/6.
With good lights. You can grow a good auto on a 12/12. All though, I can see a difference with them. But I still end up with a nice plant

Thanks for the prompt reply. good to know, I figured the shorter schedule would attribute to stretch. That’s not always a bad thing When your lights are good.
Also I switched my autos to 12/12 after they stopped stretching. 
Seems to be growing like a regular flower. Idk. I guess I don’t care enough to run the power full out at 18 hours. Lol.
I’m approaching the use of 5 lights atm and was considering the 16/8. In the end of the life after running 16/8 in the beginning did you happen to notice if the trichs were more robust? Thanks.

Sure you can practice on the outdoor plants. That one marked June 4 would be perfect to tie down.
A lesson I learned don’t go crazy on topping. I now only top once. And then scrog my photos. I fim my autos. I may go back to LST because I had the most success with that.
Don’t stress too much. Have fun with it.

He likes LST @Nicky likes to fim and I like to top. We all do what works best for our grow styles. After a few grows. It becomes clear what we are meant to do

Technically, when is a seedling considered being in veg? Node count? And when is soonest you would do first bend in Lst? About an inch up the stalk is what im seeing. With bill ward anyway. He secures opposite way of bend first, so not to disturb root ball, gives a good massage at point of bend, and bends her over. Seems pretty darn simple, as long as you condition the point of bend properly.

I count my first day of Veg the fist day above ground.
I honestly stopped counting days. My plants veg for 8-10 weeks and as soon as there is room in the flower tent, one moves in. And for flower, I keep track of what week it’s in for feeding only. I let the plant tell me when it’s done my watching trichomes.
As for LST, as soon as I can bend it over I will
