PPM and EC of runoff help

Just wanted to report back quick. I’ve made 3 batches and had problems with all 3 to be honest. They’ve separate (oil from gummy) in the mold 3 times now. I am using an emulsifier (sunflower Lecithin ) and mixing my ass off so I’m not sure what’s up. I did salvage both batches and screwing around (either adding more lecithin or a gelatin). The 3rd batch I’ll try again tonight to remedy and start again.

Maybe I’m an idiot but ive followed the recipe to a tee, and it happened 3 times. I’ve added the above and still happened.

Not to mention all the weeds you’re wasting :pensive: is anything you made actually been salvageable? Or did you actually waste everything?

It’s all salvageable. Just need to put everything into a pot and melt back down.

I know it’s a pain in the ass but at least it was all salvageable!

@Lostgirl

So I’m preparing for my fall run and curious about the other AN base nutrients. Which one if best? sense? connoisseur? Or the ones I currently use?

If using the first two, if I’m in flower do I just buy the bloom Part A/B or do I need to use both Grow and Bloom part A/B?

I have 8 flowering right now and weighing my options.

I’ve been told the connoisseur is very good. A few of my good friends use it. I personally love the micro grow bloom three-piece base nutrients.

I also have a very good friend that works for advanced nutrients and he prefers the micro grow and Bloom as well.

There are separate feeding charts if you decided to go with connoisseur. And you simply feed them the same way.
There’s an a&b for both veg & flower.

My final opinion the results that I get from micro grow and Bloom is so fantastic the old saying fits, don’t fix it if it ain’t broke

@Lostgirl its been a minute, but last night I tried another batch of gummies and they came out good.

5ml molds / sprayed with coconut (Pam)

1/2c infused coconut oil (I used 11g decarboxylated : 1/2c ratio for my oil)
1 Tbsp lecithin
4 pks gelatin (bloomed in 1/2c water)
1 pk starburst jello (it’s slightly bigger than the regular stuff)
Candy flavoring
1/4c corn syrup
1 tsp citric acid
1/4 tsp potassium sorbate

Add 1/2 c water to a bowl and add gelatin/ mix and let sit to bloom

Add oil to a pot - medium/low heat

Once warm (around 160-180deg) add 1tbsp lecithin and whisk extremely well for 5 minutes

Add bloomed gelatin and mix until completely melted, then mix some more.

Add jello pack and mix well

Add candy flavoring and mix

Add citric acid and potassium sorbate / mix well

Add corn syrup

Mix for 10 minutes

Remove from heat and Allow to cool a little (I waited until it thickened up a bit - continuing to mix)

Mix

Fill squeeze bottle with mixture and fill molds quickly

Put filled molds into fridge for 45 minutes.

Pop out of molds and put onto cooling rack for 24hrs

Pat dry, and toss in 50/50 mix corn starch/powdered sugar

Shelf stable

Estimated 18mg/each gummy

Well congratulations one figuring it out. They look yummy tasty. I bet they’re nice and pungent as well.

I’m going to copy this post and email it to myself so I have it. I’ve since lost interest as time is not on my side. In the coming weeks I will regain my free time and further pester you with questions I’m sure :astonished:

Thank you ever so much for taking the time and breaking it down as you did above. I appreciate you
