Indoor grow, Cheddar Cheese Clones,
Happy Frog, 30% perlite, Jacks 321, Recharge, tribus, RO water 25ppm, Rain science bags
PH to 6.5 to 6.8, Two hlg diablo 350, 4x4 tent
This appears to me to be a potassium issue, but not sure. The Jacks 321 has been kept in the dark, but not kept cool. Highest temps probably mid to high eighties. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I agree with normal fade. You are a living soil using all that life. Even if small issues start you are far into flower. Lots of foliage. Plenty of stored nutes. A finish unless you just killem is guaranteed.
Thats not fade. Close to time when will START to begin a fade but to me is too early. What is your runoff tds? I bet you researched a potassium deficiency which i agree with BUT with jacks you should not have that. U see how the tips begin to burn? Usually starts as a yellow and turns a brownish orange color and moves down to all leaf edges. ANOTHER indicator is the purple color. Your in soil and jacks so keep that runoff in the 1000 to 1500 tds range.
I usually grow in coco, but I did the clones in happy frog. Just continued with the happy frog. Won’t make that mistake again!! Hellraiser was my mentor, and don’t think I could’ve have latched on to anyone that teaches better!! Wish he was still here, but certainly understand why he left. I can usually figure out what’s going on, and fix. I’m thinking about flushing. What’s your take on that.
My take is, we need to know the runoff numbers. Deficiency/toxicity can look the same. Why did he leave? Hellraiser definitely knew his stuff. Thats one opinion i would always listen too.
Runoff on the back plant is 1.5 front plant 1.3. We went to our cabin in the mountains, central southern NM, where I keep my nutrients under the stairwell in the basement. Brought enough nutes back to finish this grow. Have run one feed at 895 ppm, ph 6.8. It seems to have slowed the progression down. Couple of more feeds to see for sure. I’m thinking the nutes went bad, we’ll see!
Just my take on why he left. He had made a statement about he was getting over 100 notifications a day, and was trying to answer them all. If you have read his strings, more than half of the questions he answered were always covered, most of the time just a few threads up from the question!! All they had to do was read the string. That’s my take on why he left.
My plants don’t fade on Jacks, I keep numbers on point and don’t have yellowing. It does look like a potassium deficiency but need runoff numbers as it could be potassium lockout due to toxicity from something else. Blue leaves usually indicate phosphorus deficiency, again probably caused by too much of something. Runoff numbers would definitely help.
1.3 ec is too low. Thats 650 ppm. Something is not right. Traditional full strength is around 900+ with ro. Mine would be arpund 1080 ppm@500 scale using jacks and TAP water
With that ppm, you should not have problems. Im sorry u must be using meter that was listing ppt. Im used to ec. All i can think is your partially locked out, but would suspect a much higher ppm. Certain things will block pk nutes. Kinda like adding cal mag to already sufficient jacks. Too much will block other nutes.
It should not degrade. Got 25 lb bags of it myself. Im back to the organic side but the entire point of the big bags is the shelf life. Keep the nutes balanced and try not to throw that part off. If you kept on just the jacks, no other extra’s to throw off the balance then im at a loss. No flush would fix that. It would be same result.
