Robert Bergman’s. This.
What’s up ! @beardless the second picture supports my thoughts more so than the first picture. Also the low PPM numbers.
Good ph but bad ppm… you’re late enough do not overdo it on N or they will put more energy into growing not forming buds. There are plenty of nutrients out there with fairly low N.
IMHO I would give Gaia Mania with half strength Medusa Magic but definitely Triton’s Trawl for the phosphorus (assuming you already have those with the line). Put in 1/4 t of Epsom for every 5 gallons water and a really good Cal/Mag is from General Organics… and you cannot overdo that really… I would do full strength according to bottle. If you have a mychoz product that also, like Recharge to help with the roots.
I see what you are saying. It makes sense that the low PPM and off color certainly leads to needing to increase nutrients. Then, pH in 5 range makes me think cascading pH issues.
@Budbunny did you flush the medium well to try to reset pH? And if you did, did you feed them immediately?
I think I fed them one day like a week ago checked my runoffs shit was high , but im feed again today, but my line is gaia mania,Medusa magic Athena animas, demeters destiny, mega morpheus, aphrodites extraction, persephones palate, Hercules Harvest, zues juice and Bloom khaos @Caligurl and I toppped dress last night with flower power from Mother earths fertilizer
But hey man what ph should I ph them to when I feed like 6.3?? Any Suggestions for Flowering stage
When you say high, what kind of number do you think are high. When I used highly amended fox farm ocean forest soil I would easily get ppm numbers in high 2K to 3K. I had to pay more attention to pH than ppm. Now I am trying coco and it is a different beast. What comes out should be close to what goes in.
When my ph was at 5.0 my ppms where roughly around 2600 @beardless
Because soil likes to make nutrients more available in the low 6s.
The sweet spot for soil is 6.5, with 6.7 being good if you are having Phosphorus or Cal/Mag issues
EDIT: The Epsom Salt will help with nutrient intake
Tons of solid advice guys! Forums definitely growing… loving the banter on mobile/immobile. Valid points.
But i concur with the starving conclusion. Under 500 ppms in soil is basically the seedling starter. At this stage (mid flowering -later) they require a ton of PK. Im normally feeding 600+ of just that solution (guestimate, possibly higher but not by much). Which schedule are u following for NOTG? They have a few… post it and itll help.
@Caligurl recommended specific supplements to increase, she maybe onto something there
Alot of ur amendments are simply microbe enhancers. Sorry not seeing much NPK at all
Sorry im driving atm. Could someone look up the remaining additives from post 25. Also pull tritons trawl (as recommended)
The possible just of it is you managed to decrease runoff ppm by reducing intake and making them fend for themselves. This also helped raise the pH to a more acceptable level (although in some cases a little low) but this process may have taken too long.
I am not familiar with the nutrient line you are feeding and if it or the soil you are using recommend feeding sufficiently to obtain 15% runoff. Again, when in soul I would try to maintain high runoff volume to help manage the soil’s pH.
Probably went up from ph lockout
In normal circumstances no it wouldnt. But with pH previously at 5, right move which leads to,
Plants eating properly and ppms dropping.
Easy fix. Just feed. If u havent but once since u saw 2600 ppms? Depending on how long ago that was, an ur grow (higher temps, more intense lights eat heavier ppm solutions faster) then just get them a Bloom heavy oriented feed.
floating around mid 6’s wouldn’t cause such bad symptoms, if they were being fed. All these deficiencies probably started because of low pH. They were starving then, and they are now…
Judging by progression of top leaves are compared to the next set of affected leaves I’d say it’s slowed down instead of went further.
The run off looks good- low, but good. Feed.
You might be trying to correct problems that have passed.
Now would be a good time to add acids, molasses, and microbes.
Or a full feed, then next time the microbial treatment.
Yeah those are hungry looking plants, need to feed them up.
Recharge is quality stuff. Eliminates the need for quite a few things like kelp, molasses, fluvic acids, plus it’s got all the other root beneficials. And it’s half the price of great white. Thanks for the posts, Calgurl.
Doing a full feed right now with bubbled water! 3 gallons between 6, 5gallon pots have great white and recharge!
I feed Fully with Nftg 3gallons @ 1000ppm then mixed up another 3gallons of hpk @500ppm both PhD to 6.3 and that paper is my runoff for today @Hellraiser @Budz @Deepsix @Lifetaker1888 @PurpNGold74 @Low what yall think now
That should help, see how the plants respond over the next few days.
Dang this thread blew up, @Low you tagged all the right people but gave solid advice yourself and @Caligurl and @beardless came to the rescue quickly.
After everyone else chimed in nothing more to add here.
Tag me again and maybe I’ll get here before the army next time haha.
@Hellraiser agreed let’s sit and wait
