looking great
Update#2
Ok grow bro’s, time for my second update. The seedlings are now 2 weeks old as of today. I will be doing my transplanting from soil cups to 5 gallon fabric after the weekend. I like to wait about two and a half weeks so i can get the mykos on the roots a little more direct by waiting a tad too long. Also they will be being put in the tent under the hlgs and watering system as soon as transplant happens. Excited to try out the new 350r’s! Here they are…still not much to look at but they soon will be!
@Poseidon1 what light are you using for the seedlings? They are PERFECT looking. Short and full with a nice shade of green.
Im using high output t5 flourescent tubes 18inch long. The ballast draws 51watts. Ive seen notoriously growers bashing flourescent plants. Honestly ive been doing it this way for over 20 years. Perfect for seedlings in my opinion.
@Poseidon1 No one can argue with the results. The proof is right there.
I did let them get a little too close, there is a couple tiny marks on the leafs. Try to maintain a 1 1/2 to two inch gap between tops and light bulb
@Poseidon1 I need to work on my seedling game lol. I bought a tube light from Lowes and either it was too far away or simply inadequate but regardless I dealt with some serious stretch on this batch of seedlings. Yours look like I wish mine did lol. ![]()
Still set to learning mode here. Ty for the response!
Get that flourescent as close as you can! They will stay short and squat. Any distance will make them stretch as flourescent lose ppfd rather instantly lol
And no need to thank me but your welcome. Just like you im here to learn and share. No where near a professional but more like a enthusiast.
@Poseidon1 looking great bro congrats ![]()
Update number 3
So i got the four i was planning on transplanting and keeping into the tent. Got the watering system set up as well. Will not be using water system untill they get bigger and currently giving each plant 32oz water a piece every third day. Had the hlg’s at 135 watt a piece or 350 ppfd at 24 inches for 1 week, today i bumped them up to 190w a piece at 460 ppfd at 24". They look a little droopy because of the watering they just got, honestly at this point 32oz is a little much but soon they will be drinking alot. So here they are at three weeks old, this week i will be topping all of them by the next update.
lookinh great, the set up is awesome
Thanks brother. Going for gold on this run.
you can do it
@Poseidon1 Then let’s make this sh!t Olympic!! !! Still tuned in quietly over in this corner lol.
Imho all i see is success on a future badass buzz ![]()

Update number 4
The plants today are 29 days old. Not much has changed because all 4 plants got topped. I cut the bottom two nodes and leaves off them all, and kept 5 nodes, to have 10 main tops. That is the goal anyway. Today i started giving each plant 2 liters ow water a piece to ensure all 5 gal of ocean forest are getting wet, still no runoff. I will be starting the jacks 321 in one more week. I like to start to feed after 3 weeks in a 5 gallon fabric pot. In the past i start to show deficiencies by week 4. Not sure how people make it the suggested 4 to 6 weeks with just ocean forest unless they are literally starting from seed. Here are the ladies…short and thick
Looken good…great growing
