I can tell you @Myfriendis410 is the guru and chief advocate of bud washing. Back when I first joined forum some of his first advice to me was bud washing.
Is it necessary or just a good idea to wash even if grown in a tent inside?
I have to admit you would be surprised by what will wash off your buds even on a tent grow. I haven’t done it yet due to my current circumstances, it would be difficult to do it due to various reasons. If you get a chance use search feature and search bud washing. You can see what washes off your buds.

I’m smoking flower I put in jars back in September 2018. I had some Purple Haze today that I grew last winter and it’s as good as the day it went in. I do freeze my back stock but still.
What I’ve seen is this: a plant is harvested and put in jars for cure. It’s good for about 3 months then starts to yellow/brown and it’s terpene profile changes. The flower is starting to degrade or decompose. This has to be in part some pathogen working on it. My belief is that white powdery mildew is endemic and everywhere. Unless living in extremely dry climate (think Tucson, Las Cruces etc) then the spores are present and lie dormant waiting for a chance to get going. By washing in peroxide you kill the majority of those spores thus slowing down the degradation of the plant material.
I also see it bring out the terpenes in the cured flower.
@Myfriendis410 you sold me. That all could be complete bs but you presented it so convincingly that I’ll never not wash my branches. 
Makes total sense thank you. Ok can I wash the whole plant after chop if I wanted to dry her as a whole plant or is it best to cut the branches off to make washing more manageable? I dont want her to dry to quickly.
This is what I do although a smaller plant could be dunked whole. I used to have a SIX gallon bucket which was perfect for a good sized plant. I can submerge about half of a 5 pound plant at a time and it only takes a couple of minutes (8 IIRC) and I do it in the back yard then drip dry. If you are indoors string lines over your shower or tub to hang and drip dry before going into drying area.
Walmart has the best price for peroxide at $.88/qt. I buy it by the case haha.

It’s a cup in 5 gallons but I usually run a pint: it won’t hurt it at all.

And take your time with the drying. Most of the stuff I put down takes a week or so before it’s ready to smoke after going in the jar. I do use Boveda packs.
I use boveda packs. Burp couple times a day for the first 10-14 days then once a day for a couple weeks then store in a cool dry place. In amber jars. That sound like a good routine? I’m only on my 2nd ever grow so any help is appreciated.

I’m really excited about this grow. By far my favorite hobby. Ok Sat will be 4 weeks in flower. I’m using Fox Farms Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom per their schedule on the bottle, along with Earth Juice OilyCann only once so far. Any suggestions on what I can should use to maximize bud size?
