Ph correction when adding seaweed extract

So I’m trying to correct the pH of my water after adding seaweed extract by adding pH UP and the pH went down. Very strange.

  1. Should I just add it as is- pH 3.6?
  2. Any thoughts appreciated

Let it sit half an hour. Recheck. Readjust. NO 3.6 wont be ok. Work it up to 6.5 or so. If HAVE to give it the nute leave plenty of room to water with plain phed water. In other words just give a portion of the seaweed a watering.

Did it stablize?

What kind of water are you starting out with? To have a pH down into the 3.2 zone is very rare. Almost sounds like a bad pen. What’s the ppm and pH of the water alone?

I would look into the particular seaweed extract you’re using. I have read that processing these can use some very acidic chemicals.

No, I even tried adding silica that usually increases it 1-2 points , getting frustrated. lol

My usual filtered refrigerator water that comes out 6.8-7.2

It didn’t get better so I used it as a foliar spray till I figure out how to fix this issue.
I always seem to get an “issue” where the leaves start losing its nice green and get yellowish inbetween the veins. So I was trying to increase potassium. I’ve tried other methods to correct to no avail, so trying this option now.
