Panda's Growventures

Ok imagine my dad is naturally (genetically) skinny and sinew and has very little facial hair

Your dad is chunky and hairy as an ape

You and I get adopted by an ilgm customer

We both grow up in the same environment with the same general stuff

I grow up skinny and fair with little body hair, while you on the other hand are a fat hairy mo fo

Genetics. Nature vs nurture

Day 20 I believe today. Brucie #2 was removed from the tent today and went to his new forever home. I’m hoping to compare the two of them if my friend finishes harvest (which I’m sure they will as they’re a veteran grower)

Been trying to nurse the Girl Scout as we previously saw something going on. Not sure what it was, but she seems to be improving from where she was at.

So, big question…

To top or not to top?

You can top one or two and decide if you liked it after you see your yields.

Top all three!

@PurpNGold74 You for real dog? I’m scared :laughing: Plus I think I’d have to wait for next node growth each from my limited understanding as they’re already growing this node well

Nope. Perfect spot tbh. Pinch those tops off.

Are they autos? If not I like to top my photos from 6-7ish nodes back to 3 - 4. Makes them pretty and slows em down a tad

All Autos…

@PurpNGold74 But they’re already sprouting out the next nodes. You’re SURE??? Just from that one picture?

Like go in with scissors and butcher that top little bit best I can at this point?

I’M SCARED

Ok ignore me then. I never topped my autos. Urs look a billion times better tho.

But dont be scurred bro. Push the envelope. You know they can take it. Go in just below the leaves to leave some stem on there. Helps stop the dreaded split.

FIM’d my current auto. Look at her now…

Seriously though, lemme go snap a picture and try to get closer. I’ve never done anything like this, and it’s only the second ever grow :rofl: I have no idea what I’m doing

Maybe these will help.

Current babies tops right now. Don’t even know where or how to even try to cut them

See my pics above. Pinch that top bundle of leaves together. You’ll feel the top of the stem inside, use your fingernails and pinch off that bundle.

Was easier for me by feel as opposed to trying to get clippers in there.

So… with all I did with the LST last grow and the cheater chopsticks… what am I going to be looking at doing if I top these kids?

Let me go snap you some photos of all the wild disasters I’ve had with my biggest plant. There’s nothing to be afraid of with a FIM or a top. I butcher with reckless abandon after my other fiascos.

Straight Snapped the whole plant in half.

Split the stem down the center:

And my personal favorite of the hour- snapped it 3/4ths off while trying to LST:

And without the binder Clip:

For some peace of mind, here’s my Topped Auto - she’s battling mad root rot so her growth is pretty slow, but the topping was before it got icky.

Here Panda: we can top an auto together!

My victim: OGesus auto

The target:

See that sweet little new growth? I’m actually somewhat sure I already chopped the new growth right there once before. But know what? That’s okay!

Farewell!
