Oh no. I’m glad you’re okay.
Glad you ok
I can’t like that post. I am glad you are ok. That could have been a lot worse for sure.
@violagirl0 Myself, and other guys here, would have lost facial hair too !!
Hope you heal well quickly !
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks.
Outdoor: Bud rot got my outdoor plants BAD. Everything out there was a clone so no real cost lost except time. Bud rot got my Gelato that I had monster cropped the worst by far. I think I had 1 out of 18 of those make it. Never will I do Gelato again. Not my favorite smoke, and you can get it anywhere and it was a disaster for outdoor.
My sweet smelling plants were the only ones that did okay outdoors. Sugar Cane by Inhouse Genetics did amazing. The smell is the sweetest bud I’ve ever smelled. Like candy. Didn’t have that kind of terp indoors with the mother.
Overall, outdoors…I learned a lot. That’s what it’s all about. Several that didn’t get affected by the bud rot never fattened up at all. So next year…different strains and a new nutrient line for outdoors. Maybe I’ll look into a living soil. Very glad to have the outdoor experience behind me though. Until next year.
Sorry, I can’t like that. I could deal with loosing one, maybe 2. But not all. This is one of the things I don’t like about growing out doors. I would still try if ever given the chance though. I should. There are a lot of strains that are more resistant to mold and rot than others. You probably all ready know that. I am surprised to see this for a summer grow though. You must be on the east coast as a guess.
First side by side of my Advanced Nutrients vs Emerald Harvest clones. I picked the two biggest clones of each to compare.
AN Left / EH Right
Daily Grape

Divine Banana

Can’t find my side by side of the Exaltation 6 but you get the idea. It was the same…the AN nutrient clones are consistently bigger than the EH by about 2" and some girth. Both sides of the room are happy, with no nutrient deficiencies. I’m not super worried about EH if they pull through in flowering. EH is considerably less expensive so I’ll eventually have to do final weight and cost analysis. I also plan to have them tested separately for terps and THC. Time will tell.
Bugs are still an issue indoors. I’m using the green clean and they seem at bay for a few days then we’re back to bugs. I can’t wait for the outside temps to start dropping so it’ll be easier to combat. Right now, I’ve seen spider mites (finally got those taken care of), aphids (seem to also be at bay) but now I’m seeing fungus gnats. So I’ve put mosquito bits on the soil but I’ve been doing that for weeks now.
And now for maybe the most exciting part…I’ve set up a temporary flowering space in my garage! Going to be moving plants over shortly but need to transplant them into final containers first.
I have six 600Rspec from HLG and eight UVA/UVB bulbs from SolaCure. The UVA/UVB bulbs are higher than ideal but my husband wouldn’t concede to me putting them on pulleys (eyeroll). I’m contacting the company to see if I can increase the daily exposure time to make up for how high they will be above the canopies.
Both sides of my jungle…I defoliated A LOT to help with the bug situation.
Advanced Nutrient side (in fairness, there are more plants on this side)
Emerald Harvest

WOW…i went the entire month of October without an update. Current grow is pretty predictable. Nothing going on that is pushing the envelope really…but some things of note:
Flowering are the strains Divine Banana #4, Daily Grape #9 and Exaltation #6. Excited to see what the “exotic clones” will do in flower. I put a net up this week and started flowering nutrients. Left half is Emerald Harvest and the Right half is Advanced Nutrients. In veg, the AN nutrient plants were a little taller, fuller than the EH plants but I’ll be interested to see in flower. Plus, there’s a BIG difference in price of nutrients so it’ll be interesting to do a final side by side. I also have American Haze and my Pterodactyl Tits flowering. I also plan to test at least one strain in the side by side for THC, Terps. I’ve heard from the Emerald Harvest people that Bud Candy causes a muting of the terp profiles. Time and a lab will tell. Looks like we have 9 more weeks to go!
I run the UV bulbs for 2 hours right now. They should (Ideally) be at 18" above the plant canopy but my hubby said no and made me mount them to the ceiling. I imagine that during flower, these sativas will climb up and get closer to that. We just finished week one of the big flip in there.
All these are under 600Rspec from HLG running at 75% with the UVA/UVB bulbs from Solacure.
Downstairs is the veg space…I have 200 plants and about 28 strains. For the most part, I’m sexing them and pheno hunting…cloning things here and there to build up to flower. I trim every weekend and still have a jungle. Also, forgive any drooping plants in photos. I have three varieties that are big gluttons for water so they are droooooopy come watering day.
Things in veg that standout…
I’ve got these weird ass growing plants. About half of my Pineapple Meatballs from Terpfi3nd are growing these leaves. Maybe more than half…I can definitely look out in the room and spot the majority of these. Is this what they call “duck foot”? I sent an image to Terpfi3nd directly and as the breeder he said he’d never seen any pheno of that strain like that before.
Other Standouts…
@imSICKkid ALL of the WFO (#2 and #4) have AMAZING structure. Their side branches are a wonderful canopy. I’ll be sexing them in the coming weeks but I’m liking what I see! I’ll use the tops of these to sex them. No training, just trimmed a couple of upper fan leaves.
My grow, other than a slow a$$ side by side of two nutrient lines isn’t anything crazy cool. Pretty typical blah blah. But I may start a new journal with some strain stand outs. Things that look good veg-flower and into testing. I have about 28 strains going right now. I’m pretty familiar with all of them if anyone has any questions. I’m also looking at a lot of breeders right now. Let me know if there’s any interest. Regs, Fem, and Autos.
I currently have ILGM, LIT Farms, TexOkie, Sunken Treasure, Slick Selections, Seedsman, Pure Breeding, Terp Fiend, Gnome Automatics, Samara, Ethos.
A strain that I think is under appreciated is the ILGM Gold Leaf. Not a super exotic strain but it checks the boxes on structure and growth. A vigorous plant with a pleasant and balanced smoke on it. I reveged one of mine from last year. And she is already a HUGE mother.
You can see the other mother’s around her from the same age are about 1/4 her size. I’ll have to go and clean her up because she’s a real bush. Easy growing, wonderful structure, big producer, pleasant smoke. She checks the boxes. I’m thinking I might do some breeding back one day on her for the size alone.
What are all of the white specks on your duck foot as you call it…?
I know that you said that you had some issues in the past…
Just pointing that out so that you can keep an eye on it…
Unless your a water only grow , it’s hard to keep bugs out…
Beautiful plants tho…
Awesome grow as well…
I know the amount of work that goes into it…
Much respect…

oh @peachfuzz you have a good memory!! Bugs have been the bane of my existence this summer! While I spray them regularly, I got super crazy one day last week and did DE on a few leaves/plants here and there (some strains are more prone than others). I got a couple of specks of DE on the nearby plants. Interestingly, the Terpfi3nd strains haven’t been affected by bugs.
Yes , it can be a never ending battle…
Since moving to a water only grow , I haven’t had any bug issues… knock on wood , my head
![]()
But I haven’t had to shut anything down for almost 6 years since moving to water only…
Nowhere for the bugs to live…
Just microbes…
Before in soil I would have to sanitize and disinfect everything every 8 months or so and when taking clones was a huge disaster…
No clones from other growers , no soil , no coco , no nothing…
Just water and nutrients…
I use neoprene collars and nets to hold up the plant’s…
And I only start plant’s from seed , pick out the best and clone them for 3 to 5 years…
![]()
Ooh, water scares me too. For a big grow it’s a big money commitment. I started growing in coco but had success in soil so kept going that route. But yeah, HOLY HELL!! Soil is not for the faint of hearts. HAHA. Sooooo many more variables.
It’s really super easy…
I only go out to flower room every 2 or so weeks…
I only feed them every 3 weeks…
I just need to make sure that the ac is working and I haven’t blown a light bulb and check on fans…
That’s it…
I don’t ph anything…
My systems are hooked up to my ro system and get watered at a ppm of 120 and a ph of 6.8 without me ever going out there…
But flowering plant’s need nutrients…
So evey 3 weeks I dump everything and add freash nutrients at a certain level of growth with a starting ph of 5.5 and a ppm of 5…
A gieco caveman could do it…
I’ve just been at this a long time…
And everyone says I’m cheap…
I just don’t like to spend money when it’s not necessary…
But saving money is a good thing…
You should all do it…

Sorry if I clogged your thread or made anyone freak out…
Just looking for the cheapest and easiest way to grow…
And sharing…
that’s my goal…
Grow for free…
Well we still have to pay the trimmers…
It’s alot of work… ![]()

Gold Leaf is a favorite at my house. I plan on crossing it with the other favorite, Cough Medicine by Brothers Grimm (Strawberry Cough x Vortex)
“nothing exciting” “just bleh bleh” hahaha, are you serious right now? hahaha
200 plants, let alone how many HLG fixtures…LAWDY that’s a NICE thing you got growin’ on there ![]()
Everything here stands out! I know it must be a lot of work, but you make it look so easy. Fantastic job as always.
I was looking at your pics from last June, you filled that new room up fast! ![]()
