Opinions please?

So, 3 weeks into 12/12 flower on this sour D. I think so far so good. Couple of questions for the more experienced. Is it normal for the bottom fan leaves to yellow and drop off the plant? The upper portion of the plant is still very green and appears to be growing very good and looks healthy.
The flowers or buds seem to be growing daily, about two inches tall on the larger ones and maybe a bit smaller on the lower ones. I will post some pics so you folks can critique.
As I said before am growing in soil, using fox farms and didn’t start adding nutes till week before flip. 5 gallon pots. Am using roots organic nutes, trinity, hpk ,and Buddha bloom. All my PH and ppm are looking good.
I am open to directions and suggestions.

Need a photo of the full plant with the yellowing leaves, but yes its somewhat normal for the lower leaves to yellow, in saying that most strains are different.

The lower half of the plant is under the screen, but will try to take a pic

It’s a little early to have dying fans naturally in my opinion. But if they’re touching dirt it’s pretty normal.

None of the leaves are even close to the dirt. Everything is growing up and out. But, every couple days I will find a yellowed leaf that basically falls of the plant. Always below the main canopy and screen.

I had a few fall off its normal if a leaf doesnt get light the plant will take energy and nutrients away from it. As long as ur not getting a bunch of yellowing leaves i think ur good. They look a good healthy green.

I am just about to harvest, during the last 3 to 4 weeks the odd one would yellow, agree with @Killadruid as long as it is not a heap yellowing, you should be fine considering all the other growth is on track.

She looks great otherwise. Maybe she’s just a little hungry? Bump up the ppm a few?

Nice looking plant for 3 weeks in flower. Nothing to attend to IMO but always watch for issues. Yellowing and losing leaves is normal once you are on a flowering regimen (at least a normal one) due to the low amount of N available. You also have some old beat up fan leaves that will simply give up the ghost at some point soon. Let them yellow and release so the plant can extract what it wants from it.

I may be worrying about nothing. I just don’t want to find out too late I am doing something that will screw the final stages of this grow. So far I am considering myself very lucky. This is a first time for me and I feel like it is taking forever. I would hate to kill these plants when I feel like I am so close to the final product.

I agree with @elheffe702. Mine does the same thing once she uses all the available nutrients after about 4-5 weeks of vegging. Just push your ppm’s up to around 600-700 next feeding and she will do just fine. The yellow fan leaves can be removed. Its the new growth you wanna keep an eye on.

I’m due for a water only feeding in two days, Will bump nutes up 3 days later

looking good Rocket.!!

i agree, the leaves u r loosing is from low light levels below the screen,
trim off any bud sites from under the screen, u already got most of em,
let the fans under there do their thing, when they fall off discard em.!

she is looking a little P deficient,

like elheffe and Drillbit said, bump up the fert’s.!!
she is big and can use 1.2 - 1.6 EC right now.!
swap your feed/water regimen,
feed this coming watering then do your plain water watering next time.

@Rocketman Probably need more food. Try to increase N-P-K gradually during the early weeks. I have a nutrient line that I use strictly during the stretching period. It’s reaaaaaally strong lol. It’s got a ton of N-P-K to help the plant stretch.

I stumbled across it when it was given to me by a nutrient rep while working at a local hydro store. I usually use it from week 5 to 6 then cut back on the Nitrogen when they stop ‘stretching’ or the flower stop extending. Then I’ll hit them up a small amount of P-K then increase it as the flowers fill out. Hope that helps!

Happy Growing!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will change up the water only to nutes/water this time. Speaking of taking the small blooms off the lower canopy? Are those little blooms worth sampling? Lol, I’ve actually been thinking of trying this already.
I also will bump up the feed ratio. Had started at 25% of recommended dosage, first two weeks of bloom, then 50 % in third week. I will go to 75% this next feeding.
