April 1st- yawn, well feeling much better today, think I slept probably 20 hours since yesterday, good feeding tonight, they are now on 12/12 seeing some clouding finally in their tricombes.
April 3rd- Did the moderators change the font or is my phone acting screwy lol?
So the back right plant which seems to be spewing Trichomes, upper leaves keep turning brown… so I cut the leaf. All I can do I guess. It’s the only plant showing this.
April 4th- decent watering, all is quiet, I will say that my photo-period grow upstairs, it’s trunk is about the same as any of the autos already, lol.
April 6th- so anyone have a preference when it comes to ** Combes** ? 10%? 30%? Or go with cloudiness? Mostly what I’m watching now, they are definitely getting cloudy, some still clear but for the most part cloudy.
Also seeing some wear and tear on my lights, probably getting to their end, noticeably the glass covering the LED’s seems foggy, but then again the humidifier is on constantly, turned it off tonight to see if it clears any, and probably wipe them down with some windex tomorrow obviously these pictures are with my studio LED
I like 20, 25% amber trichomes. Issue for me is timing, sometimes cant wait that long. I also have an opinion about trichomes… I feel like we should harvest our weed based on the strain. So if its a sativa or sativa leaning hybrid, should harvest with little to no amber. Sativas are more euphoria less narcotic so no need for amber trichomes. Indicas or Indica leaning hybrid need that amber to give you that couchlock/narcotic feel. So we should lean into the amber trichomes 25-30% amber.
I wouldnt be shocked to find that cbn and cbg complement the most common terps among indica’s. Cant say that it is that way, just my musings.
I let my sativas go a little longer since they can already have racy or anxious effects as is. I’m also prone to the freakout with early harvest on them.
My suggestion is this. Harvest 3 buds at more clear, more cloudy, more amber. See which you prefer.
April 7th- paid holiday + 1 free 8 hour day vacation on the book = Good Friday!! Here are some super close ups from this morning, seeing a lot of clear action lol check:
Got it today, so now, could be a good time to start since it takes a while, still trying to figure out a easy, relatively dark area, and since my house has sky lights in the main living area, my room seems best suited… {OII2}
April 10th- at least for a Monday it didn’t drag, minimal watering tonight, today was my chemical wedding day, mixed 6.5 gallons. The upstairs lady is really sucking up in veg stage right now, she’s coming long awesomely, so here are some more TCC’s
Example A
Read on other forums cloudy/amber trichomes don’t necessarily mean it’s not ready for harvest, depends on strain, some say clear is peak, others say cloudy, when they turn amber it means the THC is degrading and so on, and so fourth lol
Clear is not peak. Its the opposite of peak. Clear trichomes are immature and responsible for what many see as the negative effects of THC. (IE, paranoia, restlessness, racing heart, racing thoughts, etc, etc.) Cloudy Trichcomes are peak/mature. Cloudy trichomes are responsible for the part of THC that everyone likes (IE, euphoria, elevated calm, peace of mind, relaxation etc, etc). Amber Trichomes are the opposite of degredation and is actually alteration. Amber Trichomes are the next step in the process giving you two more intocicating cannabinoids, CBN and CBG. CBN and CBG are the cannabionoids that are responsible for the narcotic side of cannabis. These are what make the couchlock feeling many who have physical ailments enjoy.
Smoking clear trichomes is like eating a green bannana, sure it has all the nutrients all bannana’s have, but it doesnt taste the same. Not even close.
